TVS Ntorq 150 being readied for launch this year

TVS Ntorq 150 being readied for launch this year-img_20250510_105608.jpg

According to AutoCar India, TVS will expand its sporty scooter lineup with the launch of Ntorq 150, slated to be in showrooms by this year's festive season.

Remains to be seen if it'll have a liquid cooled or a simpler air oil cooled engine. It would rival the likes of Aerox 155 from Yamaha, Hero Xoom 160 and Aprilia SR160.

Absolutely great move. We need this as a cost effective alternative compared to the expensive Aerox and SR160. Having ridden the 125 extensively, it certainly deserves 14 inch wheels and ABS - in my opinion the only chink in its armour to decimate our lousy roads.

The suspension and power delivery is already perfect, more power will make it more exciting. The Aprilia being the most exciting with its hammer like power delivery but too stiff. May be a bit small in terms of luggage space (to keep helmets mainly) but who even buys it as a family use scooter?

Where is the Hero Xoom 160? They made a great splash with the launch earlier in the year . But there is no sign of scooters come May.

Wishlist:

1. Flat Floorboard - the benefits of a flat floorboard are obvious in India. Try carrying monthly groceries, a sack of rice, or a LPG Cylinder in an Aerox

2. 14 inch wheels front and back with fat rubber- Easy and obvious ones this. Think TVS will get this done.

3. Bigger underseat storage compared to the NTorq 125. My criteria is that it holds a proper full face helmet.

4. Solid Colors / Graphics - Not everyone wants those funky Race edition graphics. Some nice solid / matte paint schemes will be good.

Bring it On TVS !!!

Re: TVS Ntorq 150 being readied for launch this year

Introducing the 150cc Ntorq is a strategic decision by TVS, rather than developing entirely new scooter. The Ntorq already boasts a proven chassis and sportier design, making it an excellent choice. This new addition expands the options available in the 150cc category. I have observed that maxi scooters are quite expensive, with the Aerox priced over 2 lakh in Bengaluru, and the Aprilia 160 not being a viable option due to a lack of major updates. Additionally, there have been no updates from Hero regarding the Xoom 150. Hopefully, this will spur more competition and offer more choices for buyers in this segment soon.

Re: TVS Ntorq 150 being readied for launch this year

Much needed one in this segment for TVS. So sure that it will sell like hot cakes considering the popularity of Ntorq 125. I wish TVS updates Ntorq 125 too when launching 150. Ntorq 125 misses out seat/fuel lid opening integrated in key lock, LED winkers. This update will make a perfect 125cc sporty scooter.

Any scoop on Ntorq 125 updates?
