From the people I see, 60-70% of premium bike riders ( Karizma , P220 , R-15 ) are not bikers , just posers with enough dough or at least not hard core bikers. I see many of them , lidless, in slippers . P220 seems better off since it wasn't publicised much , so mostly it's those who know who buy 220s .

Forget about the premium segment, 90% of the two wheeler riders in India are just commuters. Those who can afford to pay a premium commute in style (on P220s, Karizmas, Fzs etc etc), rest of them use the de facto commuter bikes.

Real bikers and enthusiasts would always be real bikers, they might own a Splendor or a R1 it doesn't matter. It's the attitude that matters.
