supernavi...thanx for making a new thread....i was just waiting to do that!
anyways!
the v-twin fiero is an inhouse unit thats being built by m/s ZEN TVS which is based in bull temple road...
its a project that they have taken-up to test the capability of the fiero engine...infact they say that the fiero's engine can take-up any kinda engine mod and its so damn compatable that u can even change the dynamics of the entire engine layout...
well right now the crank shaft of the engine and the engine case is ready...
one of the cylinders that is gonna be fitted to the v-twin,which is ported is running on my bike.so once i complete my 185cc conversion, they will fit that cylinder in the v-twin.the crank shaft is truly a work of art and they have put a lot of pain in getting it balance the weight properly. the engine is a suzuki fiero's unit wid 2 suzuki fiero barrels and 2 carbs.they have modified the stock engine case and the 1st barrel sits a little away from the stock position ot a bit forward so that the v-twin can be arranged ,and the other barrel sits on the self starter case and the carbs are the stock mikuni bs26 and the airfilter for the 1st barrel is from under the tank and the other barrel gets thge air from the regular position.
the chassis will be the fiero f2's wid sone mods on the cradle to accomodate the bigger engine.the engine will displace 295cc and will make 27hp at the crank...they have plans to boost the power to even 30hp, but they need to try the reliability of the crank and see if it can take the power, afterwhich they will port and use bigger carbs and k&n filter.
will post the pics soon as the engine is now at the lathe...

Wow! Why isnt TVS doing this themselves - they have proven R&D capabilities? Is there any factory support at all for this effort?

Its probably because it'll be too costly to do that.

hey guyz its not the cost factor wid tvs but this is a project that ZEN TVS has taken up to prove their tech capabilities. TVS has not much hands in it. THis is an independent project by them wid their own funds and right now the engine case is held-up at the lathe coz the welding system to weld the aluminium cast is hard to find.so by end of next week the case shud be ready!

Hey dude
Sounds like a cool project. This is the guy near BMS college right? I remember going to his shop many times with
my friend who had a Shogun. We used to go and look at the rally Shoguns that he used to prepare. His bikes were always winning. Also remember
meeting the manager ( the guy with the beard)
Neeways....sounds like a cool project. Wonder if the gearbox and the chassis can take all that power? Do you know if its a 45/60 deg V or a 90 deg Vee angle. Also what is the crank firing angle? Is its a 45deg (Harley) style or a 90deg (Ducati style)
Send some pics of the work in progress if possible.

the angle will be 45 deg . yup its the same place near BMS college.since the engine case is currently at the lathe, once its out from there, i'll surely take some snaps!
yup, the chassis of the fiero f2 will be able to take the power of the engine!

Hey Fieriod,
What stage of development is it in currently? And when can we possibly see some pics? Maybe a step by step development <if the makers allow> would be great!

What power is it expected to develop? And what changes are being made to the chassis? Suspension?

Tell us more.

the engine is still at the lathe as they need a special kind of torch to weld the engine case. also the other parts of the engine like the clutch, magnet etc r also being worked on.
the chassis will be that of the fiero f2 and will have stiffer suspension than the stock springs.
dont worry mate...in about 2 weeks i will be able to get the pics of the engine layout!
