kinetic s italjet scooters

read in news about kinetic bringing in exciting models from italjet from 50cc to 250cc and all kinds of revolutionary stylings...

anyone have pics or more details???

One of the scooters expected from the Kinetic - Italjet scooters is a 160cc, 13.2bhp FI, liquid cooled scooterette named Blade(Originally Italjet Dragster, its renamed as Blade) with a mileage in the range of 50-70kmpl & guess what, its expected to cost around 47k :-) It will also have disk brakes at front.

There are a few more exciting models which are expected, one of which is Jupiter which will be a 22 Bhp monster with disk at both front & rear & costing in the range of 80K :-)

Am just waiting for the official announcement by Kinetic & which is expected anytime this month.

This series was shwon by Kinetic in Pune Expo
the figures were really impressive

however what I am worring is that since they are non-geared a kid having 16years liecence can ride them & that really scares me.

hey adya
according to the law 16 year olds can only ride bikes less than 50 cc.so right now also when they ride kinetics they are disobeying the law !!

the same debate I had with my sister when I got 16 liecence. & when I went to get my permanent liecence along with me 15 other kids gave exam on Kinetic Honda & I askedthe officer couple of times as is it legal & he said yes.
Then next two years whenever cops stopped for liecence checking I kept on repeatedly asking about the same issue & they kept on saying yes.

yeah I think you can ride gearless vehicles at 16 and geared only after 18
but i also think it varies from state to state ...

Down here, its only 50 cc bikes for below 18 year old non gear licence holders.

correct thing according to me

since new non-geared vechicals put geared ones to shame
Active has better pickup than Splendor (100cc model) which is too much raw power for a kid of 16

they should rather scape 16 liecense & keep age only 18

No guys I dont think so , they should impose a 60cc restriction for 16 year olds. I got a TVS champ when i was 16 without which transport would have been a nightmare for me .

Hey Did you think that Kinetic is capable enough to manage the standards & quality of italian range. So far kinetic has done good job on product design & evolution but somehow they lost on quality & reliability issues.
Whats your suggestins?

Besides the above concerns the biggest concern is whether they'll be able to give ASS because thats their weakest area. My friend who owns a Comet(tbhp id- soulreaper) is finding it hard to get spares even in pune.
