This is first post on the forum, I am deepak and i wanted to share my dream come true bike (Not named it yet)

Specification

Engine (All work done by RDD with mild porting)Running Gear (TTW mumbai)InstrumentsBody WorkElectricalsLet me know what you think of it

Spanking one, Deepak. Isin't this the RZ so frequently talked about on RDD?

Waiting for a video to hear the sound and see it with the throttle open on the roads... :D

P.S. What was the total amount of funds and time you spent on this RZR?

Wow, That's a spanking new 2-stroker (?)! Looks good to ride, but I'll insist on getting a TZR or FZR 250/400 fairing to do justing to this one. Anyway, like others, even I would be interested in know how much you spent on restoring this to its current state. Would appreciate if you could share some before and after pictures along with the original bike pics from the net.

I love these old bikes man. Take good care of her. :)

I have seen this bike being built for a long time. Its a superb example. Its a pity I wasn't there when it was ready to be delivered as I wanted to hear it.

The bike was restored in Two phases. First phase had a simple purpose get the bike running with minimum cosmetic.

The bike was a basket case nothing was working; so had to replace everything on the engine; the good part was the frame and other cycle parts were good.

Below are some pictures of the bike after completion in Phase 1; with stock running gear

Yes guys this is the RZ spoken in RDD

The second phase I did after an year and 9000 kms; the purpose was improve the handling; hence imported the RGV stuff.
Coming to the time
Phase 1: 15 months
Phase II: 2 months
Cost you do not want to know; the stuff I mentioned as the spec alone with be 6+ figures; not to mention all the tiny bits; cosmetics etc. No short-cuts were taken; NO jugad;

Below is the link of the actual model of the bike

Orginally the 250 produces 45 BHP; however when i bought the bike it would refuse to go over 100 kmph;

It is converted to a 350cc with 1UA porting which is 63 BHP stock (But then the bike is not stock anymore)

The bike looks real sweet i am sure it would be a killer to ride.

So, currently the bike's on which color scheme? I'm confused? The black one or the white+red? Looks SWEET in black though!

Yeah, also the brakes. One set has the solid discs, the other has the petals.

Neat job! Looks really good. More pics, please!

I believe the pics in the 1st post are of the bike in it's current condition..

ur previous paint scheme looks a million times better compared to what u have now . just my 2 paisa . u either need to get an engine fairing to complete the covered look or u need to loose the front fairing and go with a round light or a round sort of headlight fairing . right now it semi faired - semi naked and look incomplete . I think the bike would look much better in black . no doubt ur current running gear is alot more advanced than what u were running prior to this but those petal discs look hot ! :D

sorry for the confusion guys !!

The bike is currently RED & White.. the black did not suit me..

Plus the camera is not doing justice to the snap.. the current snaps are from my Blackberry..

Ya.. i miss the petal disc.. they were EBC R1 prolite.. though one is oredered for this also; they are amazing disc

Coming to the fairing; i have rest of the fairing; but somehow prefer the half look;
actually would prefer a round headlight naked look; however when you really go fast you will miss the fairing.. so it is on for more pratical reasons that cosemetic

actually the bike has gone through various forms in the last 2 years after the bike came back on road with the RDD engine.. and this is not going to be the last look.
Already i have quite bit of mods planned for the rest of the year

1. TZR250 3XV curved radiator as a replacement for my OEM one
2. R15 fan to aid heat while standing in tracffic (Plus a home-made fan temp controlled circuit)
3. Expansion chambers to replace the stock one; though would retain the OEM end can; they are too sweet

>> (Plus a home-made fan temp controlled circuit)

* cool. who's home? :D i'm guessing the old man decided to design it for you?

no re.. not the old man.. a student who stays next door.. he will put it as his project ;)

WOOHOOOHOOO !!! that bike threw me off my seat man , Blah! with the full fairing dude, the engine and internals needs to be shown and especially those letters "YPVS", Love those YPVS bikes, most people know zilch about its importance on a screamer.. I vaguely remember riding a RZ350 with the a ported and piped setup with the speedo reading at 194 KPH on my college highway, Tucked under the windscreen ofcourse. PHEW! wat an experience, two-strokers have my vote over any 4-stroke Anyday... cherish it man, and dont forget to treat it with utmost respect'..
