Needs a lot of work pal,this has about 72 spokes in each wheel and from what I was told it needed a lot of work. If you can find one off the shelf go for it else I honestly think it isn't worth the headache.

Agree, doing it up would surely be a headache. However, one thing that comes to my mind is, would it not affect the strength/stability of material after carrying out such a job?

IMO none as such. The spokes are the same and the rim has extra holes. It's been used for over a week now and no problems as such. Maybe over time we should know if there is a real problem.

What size tyres are you running there in the rear wheel? Have you changed the rim and it seems the Karizma near your bike also running the same size wheel. Did he modify the rear rim and rear swing arm to fit such a big tyre or its only in the pics that the rear tyre looks so humongous. Price of the tyre please and where did you get it, also what about its grip levels etc

So it means you are using 120x17 size tyre on Pulsar 220 and is it Michelin Sirac or SiracStreet. Is it used as tubeless or tubetype. I would really want to say that tyre looks awesome on your bike and gives it a really rugged appeal .

And Karizma uses the stock size tyre Sirac Street again as tubetype.
How is the wet grip of these tyres.

Thanks for putting up a pic of my bike. I bought this on 22nd April 2002 and it was originally vivid red in color. Met with a bad accident in 2009 in bangalore and due to zero availability of spares for red colored panels I had to make do with a custom paint job. Saw this Yamaha Pulsar at Meenakshi Mall Parking, BG Road, B'lore.

The entire front has been converted to R15 using its fairing. The rest of the body and the rear remains from Pulsar.
The rear tyre mud flap has been removed to give a sporty look to the rear end. End result: Cow dung and mud has made its way all upto the rear lights and definitely onto the back of the person who was sitting pillion.

One thing I kept on wondering, how did that Pulsar speedo console fit into the Yamaha R15 fairing ?
My Verdict: Almost made it to the Beautifully Modded category.

If I change my bike on those lines, will it be legal? My main problem is that my eyesight number is -6 and in rains the helmet wiser gets too wet and then taking it off, wets my spectacles. I have a need of these bike roof tops rather than a fancy for them. What is the experts take on such modifications?
