Got a new RX 135 - 5 speed

hi everyone!
having owned an RD for four years, i decided she needs company.
so have got this 2000 model 5 speed.
got her thru a friend. the previous owner is also on the forum
bike has 17.5 k kms on the odo and seems pretty much unmolested.
most parts are on the vehicle so i am pretty happy with it.
engine is strong and pulls clean in upto a 115kmph on the odo. this would hopefully be 100+ true.
i am attaching pics as well. hope i ve done it correctly.
need to do some work on her to get her back to pristine condition. next few months will be duly dedicated to that.
will keep the updates posted as and when they happen.
cheers!

My sentiments exactly.

I have a Yamaha RXZ 135 (4 gear) 97 model, still doing great. My only grievance - wish it came with 5 gears back then.

Search JC road and get it done with some trusted mechanic, google it about what parts are going to get replaced.

Thanks for the suggestion mate.

Can this (4 gear to 5 gear conversion) be done at the authorised Yamaha Service Centres ? (My bike has never been to any unauthorised service centre)

Any idea about the approximate costs involved ?

Has anyone done this conversion in RXZ/RX135 ? Anyone with first hand experience ?

I am not too much into experimentation, don't want to ruin the lovely bike.

BTW, which service centre do you guys visit in Bangalore. I am not satisfied with Pacer Yamaha (Near Safina Plaza) or Orion Motors (Behind Forum).

Rohan,
Bangalore
