So a half bottle of Eucalyptus oil and a jute sack later. I found a cat sleeping peacefully on my seat.

He woke up when I was filling water into my car's windshield wash sump. Gave an angry look that only a cat can. Shook himself and went away.

I emptied half a bottle of water on the seat but realize that there is nothing much I can do about it.

Atleast the jute bag forms a protective layer on the seat.

Luckily the cat(s) only sleeps/sits on my bike like skulls' bike- as I only see paw prints most of the times. Also the cat that (probably) sits there is quite friendly with me.

Your problem seems to have been solved for now..

But the cat is so damn cute.
Its using the curve of the seat like a diwan. So its head is at a slightly higher level, like on a pillow.

He was sleeping when I got back home last night.
Did not like the reverse light hitting him.

He woke up and gave me a hmm go away kind of look.

Was still sleeping as I was leaving for office today morning.

Maybe I will just keep buying new jute sacks every two months.

He reminded me of an old joke.
A dog looks at the person who is feeding him and taking care of him and thinks this man must be God.

But what I don't understand is, why on the seat? What if this jute bag was kept on the floor, would that make the cat sleep on it and not on the seat?

My personal experience has been that cats take fancy to elevated places - may be their idea of feeling like a King/ Queen.

So jute bag on the floor will not work...

Reminds me, a close friend has 3 cats, and one of these always like to sit on top of the kitchen cabinets( almost 7ft high). Cats are funny!

Wow.
Thanks aargee, but at 50$ its almost as expensive as my seat( Rs 2,500)

But I am sure bike collectors will find this as a MUST HAVE.

May be someone should be selling it in ebay; that way you can get a good deal. Another option is, but & use this for $50; when the cat finds a new shelter in another bike's seat, you can probably sell it for half the price to the new owner
