Tires for an Yamaha Enticer

HI guys,

Please suggest front and rear tires for my Enticer. Planning to go for a slightly broader tire for the rear.

(mods - I did search before opening a new thread, please move if required)

Below are the details provided to me by karthik1100. I'd like to thank you for this. The below details might be useful for all people who ride an Enticer.

Enticer is best to ride in stock tyres than upsize tyres. best front tyres are in order
1) MRF Zapper FS 2.75 x 18(enticer/gladiator/libero G5/R15)
2) CEAT Secura F85 2.75 x 18
3)MRF Zapper FV 2.75 x 18
4)Michelin M45 2.75 x 18 (http://motorcycle.michelin.in/Home/B...id=3669&pid=76) (http://motorcycle.michelin.in/twprod...oreProduct/183)

Best Rear Tyres are in order
1)MRF Zapper Y 120/80 -16
2)TVS Jumbo 120/80 -16
3)Dunlop 120/80 - 16
if you want to upsize you can use upto 140/80 for rear
and for front upto 3.0 x18 change the rim and spokes accordingly.

No problem djjebs; hope you're happy now. I did notice the Enticer BLR thread woken up today & I'd assumed it should be you.

But I'm wondering how come MRF & Ceat were better than Michelin? Also, I'm surprised to see there isn't a Michelin make for the rear.

How about Pirelli?

Hi Aargee, thanks for pointing me towards the Enticer Club thread. I absolutely have no idea why MRF, however I will stick with MRF Zapper for the front and rear as suggested by Karthik1100. Will update this thread with the cost details once I buy the tyres.

Hi Djjebs. I have a TVS Jumbo 120/80-16 on my Enticer's rear wheel since a year and half. When I bought it, my mechanic (read DTW) had told me that TVS tyres dont last long. But,it turned out to be a myth (as is the case usually with pre-conceived notions) and I've just been burning my bike's rubber. It has good roadgrip and is good for corners as also for wet weather riding (I dont mean to say it's a wet weather tyre). No wonder Karthik1100 had inlcluded it in his suggestions.

As far as rating goes, Michelin should definitely top the list. But sadly, if Michelin doesnt care to stock even standard sizes, then it deserves to be in the position it is in. After all, a customer wouldnt want to run from store to store and hear the same answer " No saar, 120/80-16 is not there, Y dont you try 130 ". And thats why, it's not even in the list of Rear trye options.

For front wheel rubber, I would definitely not recommend Ceat Secura, since I feel the tread pattern does't offer sufficient grip under hard braking (I have one on my Yamaha YBX and I say this out of personal experience). I'd go with MRF or TVS or Michelin if I were you.Cheers.

Thank you for sharing information on the Rear Tires for the Enticer very helpful, could you please suggest for the front tires as well.

I'm planning to go with MRF Zapper Y 120/80 -16 for the rear.
