How about the performance? Please throw some light on the cost also.
Very interesting. Glued to this thread now. Please do write full technical details, if you can share.
well, if i could source those steel cables, i would want to use a pair for my front and rear disc brakes. and how about the hardness of the levers after this mod? has it reduced?
EDIT: there seems to be alot more gap between the lever and the handle bar isnt it going to be a bit of a problem or is it something one can get used to(one would need long fingers or hands to use then without trouble).

Are you mentioning the gap shown in picture? If so, that can be adjusted with the screw / bolt circled in GREEN to bring the lever close to the handle bar.
Did you make entire thing including master & slave cylinders? Looks pretty good for an in house job. Or is it assembled from bought out parts? Pls share details. Cost permitting i would atleast take a couple of those slave cylinders.
The Steel cables are from Industrial equipment and these particular ones wont fit the discs. U can use P220's steel braided lines.
We tried fabricating the master cylinders, but weren't too successful, so had to get them off ready made from a parts manufacturer.
The Slaves are completely milled out from a solid block of aluminum in a CNC.
Clutch lever feel and feedback is out of the world. So is smoothness. I am using just two fingers for clutch operation.
As Mr.BOSS said, the levers are adjustable but are too small. The original levers are being machined to fit here and get the OE look.
As for the Cost, the whole project costed us 12000 for two bikes, but getting it right 1st time was difficult and lot of money was wasted on unusable parts and calculations gone awry. If we ever do it gain, costs will come down.
congratulations, good going buddy and good luck, do post the pics of the remade-close to OE levers, you might even paint both the levers to give a good look.
BRILLIANT!! How well does it work? How long did it take and how much did it cost you?

Any Indian manufacturer? Could you share more details like cyl ratio (master to slave), max stroke at slave and since you guys made the slave cyl pls let us know the bore dia, piston-seal source-set up etc.. I believe you are using light hyd oil. How much did the cyl's alone cost you? Hope you don't mind so many queries:)
Hitchcock's have a kit for enfields.
we have done a simmilar thing for the RX 135, now this gives me material to think and may be my pulsar needs a Hydra Treatment
I am impressed. Keep up the good work.
Seen this kind of work for RD350 clutch as using clutch lever with cable is the most painful job in RD's few went with good mechanics where they made RD clutch lever to work as smooth as normal bikes and very few opted for Hydraulic but they are not custom made its from old bikes like Yamaha XS, XT, many options are available and they need small mods to work on our RD's.
