Products sold:

What I like:

• The professional way by which they handle cars.
• Attention to detail is fantastic, they dont leave a single corner or crevice, all the dust, dirt & muck is cleared out.
• Adequate parking with 4 covered bays to clean & details cars. Pressure wash, foam wash, detailing, etc. is done in one roof.
• Genuine branded 3M products are used. They dont use diesel to remove stains or tar marks.

What I don't like:

• Pricing is a bit on the higher side.
• I would have preferred if the car was taken on a hoist & the underbody cleaned. Instead, they use a "L" shaped nozzle to clean the underbody. I could see that the suspension springs & the area around that was not clean. No other complaints.

Pricing: Depends on the package you choose. I have attached some pics in the end which shows the packages they offer & their prices. However, prices in Mumbai are more than shown in the pics.

Speciality / USP: Car detailing, 3M is known for that.

What I have bought from them: Exterior restore essential. My car had lots of grime & tar marks. All were cleaned. I was expecting the scratches to disappear but I was told, for that, I will have to opt for the Exterior Restore Advanced package, which I found very expensive.

All nooks & corners of my car was cleaned well. In the interiors, they just vacuum the floors & seats. Dust on the dashboard was not cleaned.

They have detailer's advantage, car shampoo, NXT wax, tyre foam & one more, which i dont remember. they also have 3M MF cloth.

Many thanks for sharing this contact! I wasn't even aware that 3M had a detailing shop in Mumbai. Will try them out soon, as my cars are due for their periodic interior / exterior detailing work.

Probably Mumbai is getting these units in atleast 3 locations as far as I know.

Rajeev, did all the tar and grime marks completely vanish ? I would be VERY interested in that case.

Folks, Is this the only 3M shop in Mumbai or do we have more branches town side/eastern suburbs? My car desperately needs some cleanup.

Vitesse at Prabhadevi claim they do the 3M polishing treatments for the Swift using 3M materials and techniques for 1600.

How does this stack up against the brochures shown below?

3M services are offered by many car servicing outlets in mumbai. ghost rider the rates you have mentioned are the same everywhere. but this 3M Car care outlet does detailing inside their service centre in dust free conditions as compared to other outlets doing detailing in the open .

You can see the pics before detailing here. Since my car is white & my cellphone's camera was used, the difference is not very noticeable in pics but you can still see the dirt & grime settled on the lower portions.

yes buddy. Scratches wont go. For that, you will have to opt for exterior restore advanced treatment.

Right now, this is the only one.

It seems 3M is in talks with various parties to open more of these outlets in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai. I know of a person whom 3M has approached for taking their franchise in Vashi area. He is an auto accessory dealer in Vashi.

Look at the price chart, they are pretty economical compared to the assumed service they will offer being company owned
