Yes, according to SA at the dealership with whom I have been interacting for the past fortnight or so. A facelift is expected around Diwali and he reconfirmed the same post his trip to Poona last week.

Thats surprising, Because the dealership i am in touch with clearly said no more facelift for jetta this year, Or it might be a limited edition one with cosmetic changes?

Almost 2 years with the jetta and the first niggles have started appearing.

I am getting a squeaking/squealing noise from the front wheels when I start the vehicle cold and make the first right turn. The noise remains for some time at slow speeds and then goes away once it warms up I guess. It is not the brake pads noise when you start cold as the noise is there even when I am not pressing the brakes.

Are the bearings shot? Hate to visit the service center. If it is the bearings, will it be covered under warranty?

Sounds to me like your fan belt is loose, or it could be the AC belt if the AC is on.

Hmmm, so one Supervisor claims there is a facelift, while yours denies there is any facelift ? Maybe I'll ask about it specifically when I speak to a dealer here...

Yeah do that, Though i won't be surprised to see a facelift (Cosmetic only) during diwali period just to boost sales.

I'm getting solid grinding/cranking sound from rear wheels, when applying breaks at slow speeds. Noticed, mostly when reversing and applying breaks, more so when the vehicle is declining downhill (rolling down backwards). Don't think its break-pedals, but more like bare metal shrugging off. Was quite loud few times, and if I recollect it became obvious after monsoon started - but definitely I had earlier also.

Any similar experience ? Any idea ?

Are you talking about the sounds which are coming from the brakes when you de-activate the handbrake? I am too getting such sounds every day now during monsoon while disengaging the hand brake, And then again while applying brakes slowly for sometime, Gets fine and no braking issues after driving the car for a couple of kms.

I am like soo tempted to pick this one up, The grip it self looks amazing, It has to feel amazing too! With shipping it comes around 10k though.. Have messaged the seller to confirm if it would perfectly fit mine..

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Special-Offe...4AAOSwBahVWQ37

I spoke to the Service advisor last weekend, and asked him again about unlocking the App connect features on the MIB II system. He told me that he should get a reply from VW in 15 days.
I asked him whether he was telling me this to just send me away? He said that he'd been to Pune for the Ameo launch and there were a lot of dealers asking the same thing to VW.

Anyone else can confirm this with their service advisors?

To change the front end of the my car, To make it a bit more aggressive or least make it a bit bulky, I am getting a pretty nice deal from this seller, http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Black...999.261.xkpYwG

100$ For the lip is fair, But the shipping costs are way way high! Was costing around 300$ just for the shipping, After a good amount of conversation with the seller he gave me an offer of 195$ Including shipping via EMS (Delivery in a week).

Its unpainted so i have to get it painted, My nearby VW service centre will do the painting and the fitting for me. Would cost me not more than 2-3k. Looks like a little expensive affair but it might just turn out the way i would like it.

I was initially thinking of getting the GLI bumper kit, But that would mean removing all the front sensors including the extra 2 for the self parking and refit it which i am not keen on doing.

No, nothing to do with hand-break. Even much after driving, even at signals when I apply break at real slow speeds, or when reaching a complete stop, this happens. As I said, more so while reversing and when the weight of the car adding to the momentum.

So no one has this problem ?

Can you post a video? From the description appears to be probably a stone stuck? Otherwise usual break pad rubbing the metal noise which is possible at very slow speed in either direction. And Reverse is even more probably because the brakes are used in that direction very rarely.

I wont be worried. Just check if the break pads have enough in them. Inspect the disc and see if there is any dirt or stone stuck.

So took it to the service center last week and explained to them when the noise occurs and how to reproduce it (the engine has to be cold). As expected, they kept the vehicle for a couple of days and said they could not reproduce. I went with them for a longish test drive and nothing. I was not convinced that the problem is gone but at the same time could not reproduce it.
Bought it back home expecting the noise to appear next morning and lo and behold, the noise is gone. The service center swears they did not do anything. So it must be gremlins I guess.
For a change, the experience in the Service Center was better. The workshop was as usual chaotic but the person who took me for the test drive did make an honest effort to try to reproduce the noise. The CRM would not let me take the car without finding out the problem. I had to convince her that it is ok and that I will not blame her if the issue occurs again. Some improvement in attitude is seen.

Thanks Tanveer. I thought only the width matters in acceleration. So, a 225 tire on 17" will have the same effect on acceleration as a 225 tire on 16", right. What the 17" will provide will be better cornering due to reduced sidewall flex.

Also, the 225/50/R16 Michelin PS3's are not available. Did you find any dealer who has these in stock?

Yes true, Like i said we like fine tuning:D

Yes there is a dealer here in an area called Nerul who agreed on saying he can get 225/50/R16 for me, He did not have them in stock but he did say he could get them arranged, This was around 2 months back.

His details incase you need them,
+(91)-9322296261 Shop No 10, Amoli Building, Vashi, Navi Mumbai - 400703, Sector 30, Nr Sanpada Signal Sanpada (Map)

There is another shop opened up which stock's only michelin tyres, I will pay him a visit too.

Majority of the dealers think of the Primacy series when PS3 is mentioned, whereas for this size the correct series is the Pilot Sport 3ST. Your local 'certified' Michelin dealer would be the best place to source this from.

One issue with 225/50/R16 is the availability of this size in Michelin PS3. I just spoke to my tire dealer and he said PS3 is not available in this size. On the other hand 225/45/R17 is available and the price is 12.5K.
