In addition to the differences mentioned in the specification sheet between w4 and w6, there is a major difference in the interiors of the two models, while w6 has the silver accents across the interiors the same are missing in w4, in my opinion the interiors look a little boring in w4, I am sure you will check that before taking the final call.

Hi, i am considering the W4 variant and am looking for views/experiences on performance, comfort etc. Also any insight into discounts etc would be highly appreciated

As per my dealer, price reduction (due to excise duty cut in the budget this week) has been officially announced by Mahindra today and it's around 30K for W4, 35K for W6 and 40K for W8.

Thanks for the information, kaiserketkar :thumbs up

Besides the opening sequence and bluetooth interface, what are the other changes?

Last week completed my Jaisalmer trip in my Cheetah (second trip for her). She loves to drive on long beautiful roads of Rajasthan. Putting few pics of her (and me too :) ).

Those rims looks nice, worth tilting my head. ;)

They are not stock, are they ?

Mahindra XUV500 automatic coming mid-2015.

Mahindra will add an automatic gearbox-equipped variant to its successful XUV500 SUV line-up in 2015.

This new automatic gearbox is reportedly a six-speed unit that will be first seen in a future SsangYong compact SUV and then later in the Mahindra XUV500.

This is a lovely video, showing XUV500 beautifully working ESP. There is another, similar video showing the real-world effect of ABS and EBD. And XUV500 totally nails it. clap:

Well not much. One thing I have noticed though, is the start up (opening sequence) time is much quicker. Not much time is wasted on the whole jhing-bang. Radio starts almost immediately.

Is it applicable for W6 as well?

I am going to close the deal for XUV W4 tomorrow, so thought of sharing the last quoted pricing with fellows to confirm if any better deal is there is Delhi on W4 variant.
Enquired from Bhasin and Koncept and both mentioned INR 12.44/- L as the final on road price with 0% dep. insurance. Car manufacturing of 2014.
Anybody from delhi please let me know is it the best possible price after the excise revision?
Also which dealership is giving better service back-up?
If I buy car from bhashin can I get my car serviced (right from first service) from another dealer's (or Koncept's) services centre? with equal attention given to my vehicle?
Thanks

Does this post convey anything substantial or is it just a matter of pride to have a lineup of TATA cars and come on a XUV thread ranting about Mahindra?

It surely looked to be a ranting post about M&M to me. I look at it as a scope for M&M and wont try to find low points around TATA to defend this. If I'm not wrong, lowering GC on paper was a smart step towards passing the benefits to customers. It really doesn't lower the actual GC, they just changed the way they calculate it!!

Hey fusionbang.. Did you get this from the Purple Club?

Check out ebay.in you should get this in a couple colors, this can improve further to look like a scale model, for now its more like a plastic toy, but good to have if you really like it.
