I believe it should be 85hp RxL (O)
I'll be surprised if that's not the case :)

Renault has given the Duster 85 PS some updates.

It's certainly the VFM one just because it is the least expensive trim to have ABS and Airbags at 9.99L ex-showroom(Faridabad).

I have a couple of questions which I am still not clear about after going through a lot of threads.
  1. I want the alloy wheels for my Duster but I am not at all sure about which brand to go for with a budget of about 25-30k.
  2. I got Apollo's with it, are they good enough or should I get them replaced?

Thanks

Two things i miss from this update in my RXL 110;

I wonder if these new door beading can be retrofitted on older Dusters?
Even if its possible, will it add any advantage? I wonder if the door profiles have been updated too on the new models.

Duster AWD and Terrano (all variants), which have these weatherstrips, have a more silent cabin than 2wd Dusters. May be the new damping stuff inside the hood also helps.

Downside is, front doors doesn't close as seamlessly as 2wd Dusters, because of the resistance from these weatherstrips. But then, most people will not even notice it.

Even I wanted to install these in my Duster ever since Terrano was launched. Buying them from Renault and pasting them after some cut and crop job cannot be ruled out. There are local workshops who add additional weatherstrips for cars like 800 and alto, don't know how they do it though. I've seen 3m weatherstrip adhesives and weatherstripping seals for car doors in Aliexpress.

Umm.. so what exactly is a "keyless entry"?
I've got two diff answers from the dealer as well as his service centre chap.

Dealer ver. - The vehicle will unlock itself if you walk within a certain range with the key/s.
Service ver. - Pls press the unlock button on your key.

Help centre is clarifying with someone higher up, and is getting back to me.

and btw, its a brand new 85ps (O). Delivered two days ago.

Also, the whole wiring of the glovebox light is apparently missing from mine as well as all the stock in the yard.

85ps (O)

Finally got some time to get the Pre-ordered seat covers installed from Imperial Leather.

Must appreciate the workmanship of Shivkumar and Team. The entire installation process from Removal of Seats to getting them installed at his workshop to fitting them back was done in a cool 2 hours time.

And also as per my request added some extra foam for Under Thigh Support for all seats and also for the Universal Arm rest which i had procured from e-bay. And yes the Bottle Holder is still very much usable after fitting the Universal Arm Rest.

Now let the pics do the talking:

Hey

Seats look quite good and comfortable. I might be travelling to Banglore towards the end of the year. Maybe I should look at Imperial Leathers as an option, and pay them a visit. Can you put up the main guy's number here?
Thanks.

I am sharing his Business Card, it also has his website and search using Imperial Leather in fb to get more pics. Only issue which i see here is that he normally takes 7 to 15 days to make the covers post ordering, so you might have to plan accordingly.

MotorBeam is carrying this article that shows improvements/ changes to the Renault Duster 85ps version

http://indianautosblog.com/2014/12/2...e-spied-161412

Improvements such as rubber beading, controlled NVH, chunkier steering are purported to be carried forward from the AWD version. Apparently there is also a central MID.

I also hear that the Adventure edition is withdrawn. The Amazon Green now available in AWD variant was earlier available only on Adventure edition.
