Thanks, @ampere & @geotracks.

Does anybody know (a) If I can get the rear air con vent fitted as an option & (b) how much would it cost?

If it can, I think I can go for the XL-D or XL-D+ version.

I have an XL-D 110. Unfortunately the rear AC unit is not just a vent. Its the real deal with its own cooling system. Hence there is no chance of a retrofit. The good part is the front AC is good enough. I was facing the same dilemma. Trust me its good enough even for the summer.

Received Bronze Grey XL D 85PS on 28th March as promised by Shawhar Blr(sorry for the not so good quality pic).

Man....those alloys are killer!!! How I wish roof railing and front/rear under bumpers came in silver color (this is offered only in 110PS top verients). Trust me they add so much glamour to the exterior look.

Congratulations BlueEyes! Very nice looking SUV with a great choice of color. This is the same color they showcase on the Terrano's brochure. Do let us know what were the other options your looked at before making a final decision.

Look forward to your detailed review and more pictures.

Thank You :)
This is my Brother In Law's car and yes IMO this color suits Terrano more than other color choices available. Family is planning a holiday next month, will post more pics after that.

I have a question on the position of the turn indicator lights. For some of the cars like Ford, Hyundai and most of the Indian cars, the turn indicator lights are placed on the outer side of the headlamps and for others like VW, Nissan etc. the turn indicator lights are in the inner part. Other than the design aspects does it have any other significance ?

When the cars are on high beam , i feel that the the visibility of the turn indicators are less when its in the inner side. Though meant for highways, people still use high beams during city drives as well and sometimes indicators not visible causes concern.

I feel that if the turn indicators are physically separated from the powerful Head lamps, farther the better. Turn indicators in the mirrors will be of better visibility than the one integrated in the Head Lamps.

Nissan has launched Terrano 4wd in Russia. Has this been discussed before ?

Moved the amplifier from my old car to my Terrano and installed Infinity 6.5inch speakers(component) on the front doors.

Did it in a hurry! Big mistake!

Since the OEM player does not have an RCA output the fitter installed an RCA converter for amp input. They drilled holes on the door to fix the over-sized speakers and now the glove box does not open. Also now my leg hits the speaker cover while driving. :Frustrati

Any expert suggestions on a solution for this? Could I move the door speakers to the back doors?

Can anyone confirm the bulb type for the high & low beams on the Terrano? My user guide mentions both bulbs types as H7. But I know that the Duster has H1 as high, H7 as dipped.

Big dilemma. Having sleepless nights to decide between the 85psi and the 110psi.

85psi
Good city drive ability
Moves like a petrol car
Minimal gear changes
Lesser by 1.8 lakhs
More mileage
But does not have the roar, can not feel the turbo kick in, practical for a smooth driver.
Has the least power/wt torque/wt compared to ecosport, ertiga, strome, XUV.
Longer waiting period

Definitely a practical family car for a person with a lighter pocket and not a heavy foot.

110psi
Roars well and can feel the latent power at all speeds
Low speed drive ability is purely on gear shifts
Leg pain on serious traffic jams
Wakes up thrust on pedal down on the highway
Costlier
Lesser mileage
Shorter waiting period

Quench all your thirst of owning a big powerful car but for the inner luxury.
(next stop luxurious Germans)

What do I do.
Heart vs mind always a problem.

The answer should be based on your requirement. If you have the highway running and the pocket, go for the 110 PS. Else if it is more of city driving even though you have the pocket, 85 PS is better.

It was simple for me, a third person :P

Request you to take the NVH levels also in to consideration. There's a noticeable difference; the more you drive, the more obvious it becomes.

@Thomas, You have summed it up very well.

Although 85ps is not bad on highway, it trumps on City driving with fewer gear changes and no turbo lag. I rarely get to use the 5th gear in Bangalore traffic.

The 110p is like made for highways with an enhanced mid-range performance for overtaking above 100kmph, clubbed with a 6th gear for effortless cruising.

So here is a case where deep pocket really don't matter. The distinction is clear cut. Both are capable engines.

I was in the same dilemma ...
But then heart won over , as it always has :)
Booked 110 XL today, finally ditching my 3 year old smooth driving petrol iv tech family car HONDA city.
So for me .. It was all about driving pleasure and power and also mental satisfaction that I got something for this price which has better power to weight ration than most of the below 25 lac SUVs around.
And as you said , next stop , luxurious Germans.
Can't think of any car between this and volvo/ X3/ M Class and others . still time for such money so for me it was a clear cut choice .
Hope this helps you to tilt towards heart or mind .

Booked the Terrano 110 PS XV Model last week. Colour Sterling Grey Expected delivery next Tuesday!! Can't wait :D
