Am sorry I am not able to understand. What were you able to activate at the service ?

He meant "Auto door lock" after reaching a certain speed if I'm not wrong. Also it is impossible to activate DTE and fuel efficiency readings.

If there is a way to do that it will be really great.

I'm also looking to change the horns. Still undecided whether go for dual setting of stock and Hella Supertones or just go with the supertones. Do update whenever you change it. The cabbies and trucks just do not bother to give side on highways.:Frustrati

Hi Friends. This is my first post on the forum and gives pleasure to answer your query regarding replacement of OE horn on the elite i20. I have done this about a month back soon after i got my new car and changed to Hella redgrill. These are far better than the Original ones and is simple plug and play along with a relay that comes alongwith. The whole process took about 45 mins and im enjoying it.

Hi Ranjan. The car is doing great and is very smooth .have done 5000 km in my 40 days of ownership. Though upgrading Audio was a tough job as hyundai OE units hardly have any output to upgrade even if u install an amp. So the ideal set a DSP is must have before the Amp. Another major observations is that there is huge turbo lag between 1800 to 2000 rpm and if u accelerate hard u almost feel that its not moving. However past that it is a breeze. The headlamps are also inadequate and had to upgrade to Philips exteme vision and after this its doing great. Got beautiful custom made seat covers and will post pics of the same. The tyres are a must upgrade if u dont get Bridestones on them as OE . Suggested Michelin Though mine came with bridgestones.

Thanks. I too got Bridgestones, though i have a sportz petrol. Thats why didn't change them. The headlamps are really pathetic. They are of Phoenix make( Previously Halonix). Will be changing them soon to Osram NB Unlimited.

Do share the pics of seat covers. Currently i don't have seat covers on my car. Maybe later i will go for them. What all accessories you have added?
I'm thinking of getting illuminated scuff plates but all i could find are cheap ones on ebay.

My car is 1 month old today. Have driven around 1500 KMs and getting average of 16 KM/L approx. With around 60 % highway, 40 % Village roads usage the car feels solid. No squaks, rattles etc. Lets see how it fares in the long run.

Cheers

Doesnt the elite look more like Mazda CX-3? Knew it had those styling elements of Mazda before but now they look very similar.

Hello friends,

I am planning to book the Elite i20. I wanted to know from fellow members in Pune which is a good Hyundai dealer in Pune who is reliable and trustworthy? Also has anyone got any free accessories or any discounts while booking the Elite i20?

Hi,

Can you please let me know the specs for the bulbs of the Elite I20, I mean the wattage and volts, do we get the OSRAM NBP with the same rating?

Regards
Shailesh

These are standard H4 60/55W 12 V halogen bulbs. Yes both NB plus and unlimited are available.

Though I have not got the i20, I had bought my Santro from Sanjay Hyundai. My experience was satisfactory. But no issues as such.
We had been to Kothari to book grand i10 for my friend and the experience there was not good. My friend finally canceled his booking.

This is it! I am a team-BHPian now and it feels more amazing than passing an engineering subject in the first attempt... As a first post I want to thank everyone at team-BHP for their excellent work... Now coming to elite i20, can anyone tell me where can I get a good cover for the elite in Bangalore?

Petrol version owners can you let us know the mileage.Asking on behalf of a friend.
Thanks.

After going through the review, the i20 elite seems to be a car that can boast of very few drawbacks. I mean it scores good with the looks, handling, FE, ICE, interiors, Space etc when compared to other premium hatchbacks. My BIL wanted to buy a City diesel but reverted to plan of buying a hatchback due to some other financial plans. I think I20 can fill that place very well since he owned a Verna fluidic.
Apart from uncomfortable ingress and egress for tall people and turbo lag , are there any niggling issues that bother the owners ?
