Actually thats the first thing they suspected and checked. If the engine light comes again, they said they will change the brake sensor/switch.

Both air and oil filter is priced just under 1000 Rs for 1.6 S-Cross while it's under 300 Rs for 1.3. According to SA, fuel filter is same for 1.3 and 1.6 :).

1000 bucks for a lowly oil filter element. Well, they've gotta pay for all the Nexa showroom investments, sales advisors coats and ties too.

1.6 in a Maruti car may use the 360 rupee oil filter. lol:

And it does look like the filter's plastic housing with the hex nut outside.

That's one inconvenient location. Seems like you need to remove a tyre to access it unless there is some way through the engine bay. But using that route I can just see oil dripping all over the engine bay as you pull it up.

Hi,

I am getting the OEM alloys which has ran just 40km (according to the seller).
These are the grey ones, so from new batch. I need to know,

1. Whether swapping the OEM tires will be straight forward?
2. Do I need to take care of anything while swapping?

Most probably I will be getting the new shoes for my blue mystique in the evening.

Since they are OEM you need not worry about a lot of things. Just have the alignment and balancing done right away and subsequently every 5,000 Kms.
Other than that, take a pick of the brand of tyre's you'd want on your ride. You'll have to just choose the right size of tyre's :)

It seems fuel supplied at Reliance pumps is qualitatively better than others. Fuel adultrartion is big problem in our country. While some pump owners can maintain requisite specific gravity for particular fuel even after adulteration and some others can con you by giving less quantity.

The total cost for third service was Rs. 5576. The items that was chargeable in the service are as below.

Engine Oil
Oil Filter
Wheel Weights
Labor for Wheel balancing and alignment
1 set of Mud flap- Front left mud flap went missing a couple of days back

Since I complained about the wiper not working as per expectation, the SA gave me 2 packets of wiper fluid shampoo to be used when I do the refill.

Yes Naren, you were right. the labor was for wheel alignment and balancing.

As an afterthought, I think I should have left the alignment and balancing as it was :Frustrati After the experts at Maruti did the job, the alignment has gone for a toss - the vehicle is pulling to the left as I was driving to Chennai this morning. There is slight vibration on the steering wheel in high speeds as well.

I see that the steering is pointing a bit to the left by default which is probably causing the leftward drift. Not sure if it was wrong alignment or if the steering calibration has some issue. Need to check with Maruti guys and demand refund for the excellent job they have done once I am back in Bangalore.
