Let me share my experience also. I have Alpha 1.6 and completed 25k so far. When my car was at around 15k, the engine light started coming in randomly and i was not being able to use cruise control because of that. When i checked that with Motorcraft noida, they found that there was some problem in braking system because of which ECU was disabling Cruise and Engine light was getting on. They changed small part at Driver footside and never faced same problem again. |

Oil filter of 1.6 S-Cross : 970 Rs (almost 3 times costlier than 1.3 variant) Pic was shared by fellow S-Cross owner in WhatsApp. Attachment 1546852 Both air and oil filter is priced just under 1000 Rs for 1.6 S-Cross while it's under 300 Rs for 1.3. According to SA, fuel filter is same for 1.3 and 1.6 :). |

Not sure I can make out where it is? Doesn't seem to be anything that looked like a filter there. Drive on, Shibu. |

I think he's referring to this one: Attachment 1548085 And it does look like the filter's plastic housing with the hex nut outside. |

Hi, I am getting the OEM alloys which has ran just 40km (according to the seller). These are the grey ones, so from new batch. I need to know, 1. Whether swapping the OEM tires will be straight forward? 2. Do I need to take care of anything while swapping? Most probably I will be getting the new shoes for my blue mystique in the evening. Straight forward swap. Why is the owner selling it? If the donor car was in a crash, then the alloys may have been compromised, look for cracks or repair marks. Just do wheel balancing and you are good to go. |

Since they are OEM you need not worry about a lot of things. Just have the alignment and balancing done right away and subsequently every 5,000 Kms. Other than that, take a pick of the brand of tyre's you'd want on your ride. You'll have to just choose the right size of tyre's :) |

Yes, I have used Shell diesel. I did not find much difference. I found difference in Reliance diesel though. Now I fill diesel only at Reliance pump. |

I guess SA meant labour for wheel alignment/balancing. |

I get wheel alignment/balancing done only if required. Alignment is done if there is uneven tyre wear and balancing is done if I notice vibrations at high speeds. |

If you have not done tyre rotation so far, please do the 4 wheel tyre rotation. It's advisable to go for the tyre rotation once in 10K KMs. |

As an afterthought, I think I should have left the alignment and balancing as it was :Frustrati After the experts at Maruti did the job, the alignment has gone for a toss - the vehicle is pulling to the left as I was driving to Chennai this morning. There is slight vibration on the steering wheel in high speeds as well. I see that the steering is pointing a bit to the left by default which is probably causing the leftward drift. Not sure if it was wrong alignment or if the steering calibration has some issue. Need to check with Maruti guys and demand refund for the excellent job they have done once I am back in Bangalore |
