What a brilliant pricing! Tough competition for Kwid, i10, Celerio, though it may not be able to topple them. Now they can safely discontinue Indica. With the use of old platform and old engines with addition of Turbo in a new design which is pleasing to eye, Tata is making the A-segment hotter.

Does that mean the an automatic petrol version of Tata Tiago is around 4,75,000 in Delhi? Grand i10 is upwards of Rs. 7 Lakhs while Celerio VX-AMT is a touch above Rs. 550,000. Looks like pretty competitive pricing for a start, though more detailed features need to be taken into consideration.

Does the XB variant not come with Air-Con? I wonder who is the target customer for XB since even the taxis now have air-con. Or is the XB variant designed only so that Tata can tempt customers by ads stating Tiago starting from 3.2L!

Brilliant pricing, but what interested me more is this:

18K for dual airbag, driver side seat adjustment and few more goodies, and available for all barring the entry level variant. clap: A very good move indeed.

They got a winner in their hands. The only bad part is no safety features in any variant other than XZ. Car is looking smashing hot. Waiting eagerly for its compact Sedan version also. The way everyone is praising for 3 pot diesel, it surely has something. I am not a big fan of 3 pot over 4. Looking forward for a test drive. Seems like time to change the car. Kudos to TATA!! They are on right path and deserves a pat on their back.

Brilliant pricing by the TATA's. Finally the wait is over for its launch & its time to see the waiting period of the car with this pricing, amazing stuff. The blue shade to me is on the dull side compared to the display car in Geneva auto show. Lets see who in this forum is the first lucky person to book & get the car delivered.

In fact yesterday there was a test drive / display in Hinjewadi Phase 3 , and trust me the response was fantastic. Never saw so many IT folks surrounding a Tata Car, feeling it and taking test drive. After that, a positive feel, happy feel from most, rather a few were heard saying ' A Tata Hatch so good, must be highly priced '.

Now today after this disruptive mouth watering pricing, hope there will be conversion to sales.

I am going to be FORCED to give up my Nano and buy Tiago by my family. Top end with airbags sounds uber cool.

Been hearing too many positives about this car. Must try to go for the TD with an unbiased mind.
Efficiency figures are good too.

Kudos to TATA for the 'Geared for Great' drive. I, personally, feel it was an excellent way to reply to all the 'reliability' questions. For me it is comparable to what SRT used to do to silence critics - never reply or react to statements in media - just get on the field the next day and silence them with sheer performance.

Excellent pricing from Tata. They have hit two birds from one arrow, that is both the A segment and the B-1 segment.
At this price, it will surely take away the Alto K-10 and the Kwid customers. Also, this pricing will ensure that Renault does not get too greedy with the Kwid 1000cc and the automatic pricing.
On the other hand, with its excellent pricing, this car will definitely appeal to the buyers of cars like Celerio, Wagon-R, Chevy Beat etc.
I really hope that Tata delivers on its end, and the customers too respond appropriately.
