Thanks. Would you happen to know if Jeep has a tie-up with Tata Aig for hassle free claims?

Tata AIG has tie ups with all major manufactures. You should confirm with the dealer and your local Tata AIG representative before you take it.

Hi Fast&curious. Sorry, if I am asking around a bit too much, but what deal did you get for your 4X2 Limited+?

Also, given the alloy design in your variant, do you think your colored calipers will be visible?

Hi, I got it for 22,42,000 OTR in HP

Also I think the callipers will add just a dash of colour, while they won’t be in your face.

Hey Guys,

I am planning to book a Jeep soon wanted to know which insurance would you recommend? The dealer quoted around 94k for insurance and was wondering if I'd save a few bucks by getting it from outside so wanted recommendations on which insurance provider to opt for.

Get a better quote from outside and ask the Jeep guys to meet it. Chances are good that they will at least come close.

Buddy, Thats a pretty sweet deal you got. Around 3L discount is really good.
Can you please share some more details on the discounts( cash, exchange etc)?
I am planning to buy a 4x4 diesel automatic. But the dealer didnt offer much discount :/

@Jeep Community,

Need your help. Has anyone retrofitted Fog lamps on their Sports Plus Variant. I feel like this is the only safety feature which they have removed from the base variant and does feel like a necessity.

It’s not all discount. The registration charges in HP were pretty low at the time I got it. I paid around 52K for it. Although 2 days later the charges were doubled. So I got a bit lucky there.

The dealer did not ask for any handling charges. Another dealership was quoting 40k for handling.

80k was company discount.
Insurance quoted by the dealership was around 69K which was just a few thousand bucks over online quotes. So saved a bit there.

ZF 9 HP Gearbox Remap

I read somewhere that ZF 9 HP fitted in Jeep Compass Diesel AT can be remapped for faster shifts. Has anybody tried it or knows about it.??

The dreaded 'Jeep battery'failure on my Trailhawk struck just now. 16 months into ownership.

I am sure it needs to be replaced. Any suggestions on a good replacement ?

Should I replace at dealership or just source Amaron?

Yes, this is something many have faced. Mine is at 21 months now, fingers crossed.

Better to go for Amaron unless you can get it replaced free of cost at the dealership.

I got my compass battery replaced with that of Amaron 74 din. It was needed after sudden dying of original Exide 70 din battery during the lockdown period. Amaron dealer told that he has replaced a few Jeep Compass batteries and it is better to go with 74 din.

I got this error today morning, it didn’t show up with the usual speed sensor errors. Anybody know what it could be?

“SERV 4WD”

DEF ran out pretty quickly. Do the dealers not fill up the tank on delivery? I was told that it lasts easily until 6000 kms.

Could be that your battery is on its way out. FCA cars give out various error messages when the battery dies or is about to die. I got water in fuel warning when the battery died.

This will improve. I ran through DEF pretty quickly in the first 5k KMs. Now a tank full is lasting more than 6-7k KMs. I normally stock a 5 ltr can in the garage.

Which brand of DEF do you buy? In my case the guys at Jeep insisted that I buy from them and they strongly recommend against buying DEF from any other place. I gave in since I didn’t want to risk much and I was on a road trip when this happened. I think they have a brand called Veltex.

Please share some other reliable brands that can be bought from usual places like petrol pumps, etc.

Thanks, Arjun. Is the battery voltage indicator in the dashboard a good indicator to know if the battery is failing?

The SERV4WD error disappeared when I started the vehicle later in the day.
