I am facing connectivity issues on wired AA from day one, where the screen freezes on Maps and unit needs to be restarted to get in working again. Service centers say it is software issue and not hardware issue, so need to wait for software update from Google. Have you faced similar issue when using this device, given that it is just an extension accessory?
Also, if you can tell, how much you paid in total to get it delivered in India? |
Apologies for the very delayed response. Been away for a a while.
I paid $105 USD (including $20 shipping) to get it in India. Had ordered in June 2022.
Yes, I do face screen freeze sometimes. It usually goes away after turning off the ignition and turning it on back. Its an irritation, but I never thought of checking with service centre guys. Will do so in my next service.
Today, in the cold winter day of Delhi, I stepped out of the house to go for a quick drive on my 2.5 years old S-cross. When I pressed the unlock button on the key, the car refused to respond. I thought the key battery had died, so opened the gate with physical key but then the engine refused to crank too.
I soon realised that the battery in my car has died and that too a little early in its life (it had replacement warranty of 2 years, and current age was 2.5 years).
Is it normal for a ISS (idling stop start) battery to die so soon, as my earlier experience in Swift diesel was ~4 years average life for the battery with similar usage.
Have now bought a Exide Mileage battery from nearby shop for Rs. 5,000 approx (with exchange).
But I am little disappointed with such early retirement of the engine battery, as the mammoth of the hybrid battery sitting under the passenger seat will make a huge dent in the pocket if it demands similar early replacement :coldsweat
I went in today for 3rd PMS of my S-cross in nearby Nexa workshop and came to know from one of the employees that Maruti is planning to release a strong hybrid SX4-SCross based vehicle by end of this year. It will be sold only through Arena showrooms.p and will be placed below Grand Vitara in lineup.
Hi
I am driving Ertiga 2017 AT (2nd owner) and planning to switch. Found a 2020 S-Cross (3rd owner when I buy) 37K KM driven for around 8L. I find Ertiga very convenient to get in and out with my tall figure (6' 3") and never felt any fatigue on my legs for 3-4 hours of driving. I also added a memory foam to give some more height.
Can somebody confirm that S-Cross will have similar driver seat height or will it be a Sedan height? I am yet to test drive the vehicle
Any other things comparable to Ertiga 2017 AT model?
Thanks

In one line - Scross won't be an Ertiga. But it won't be sedan/hatchback too.
Having spent time with the Ertiga and Scross, I can say that I walk into the Ertiga but have to sit down in the Scross. But it is very comfortable nonetheless, even in long 12 hr drives.
Hello all, I’ve S-cross 2021 and I was planning to have Dash cam installed. There’s no specific port where it can be used as plug and play. The USB port under the console is used for Android auto/Apple car play cable. What are my options here? Any guidance will be appreciated :)
If you're installing a front only dash cam, you can use the cigarette lighter port under the armrest. I have placed a dual USB cigarette lighter charger there and use one of the ports to power the dashcam. Hope that helps
Hi All,
Have been thinking about the Indian car market which has grown exponentially in last 5-6 years. New Cars coming in almost every month. But what about those cars which have been replaced because they were not fuel efficient and not upgraded to the latest technology. One such car comes to my mind is S-Cross by Suzuki. it was apt, elegant and powerful but since it did not fulfill the B6 norms, Maruti discontinued it.
Rather they could have changed the engine and modified the interiors of this car and rather continued the sale. I would like to see this car on the roads again in India in near future.
Any thoughts here please?
Regards,
AB

This wont happen as the s-cross has been replaced by the grand vitara in the nexa lineup, so used cars is the way to go. in fact Suzuki is going all in with a 7 seater GV this year.
