Leave aside off-roading. Bangaloreans usually need such accessories during the monsoons on the Metro construction stretches rl:.

Here's a video of one of my shortcuts near my home outside BLR. Imagine this in the rains!

Exactly the reason why a Thar will do a world of good.
lol:

Nice video. This isn’t Bangalore at all. Where are the vehicles, where is the jam, where are those buildings?

I like the way Mahindra is going all out with the Thar - events, videos, media drives, and what not! Goes on to show the pride they take in manufacturing the Thar :thumbs up

Do they also have any kind of membership or lets say groups for off-roading? I somehow though that post delivery, I may be told about groups interested in off-roading etc, but none so far. When I bought my first safari, Tata had a program of safari drives with other safari owners. Name of that was SOUL if I remember.

I also read in some places where the Club Mahindra stay vouchers were given along with That delivery. I didn’t get that as well. I’m not complaining about this though.

Looks like they have withdrawn all their Off Road events / expeditions / challenges

They are only conducting media events now

The Mahindra Adventure website used to list all the events and is now blank.

Thanks for sharing.
One thing noticeable was, no sealant being applied when the hardtop was placed on the body, though they did show it being applied manually on the windshield.

Mr Anand Mahindra has given a Mahindra Thar free to 4 of the Indian cricket players, including debutant T Natarajan, for their Australia tour performance. Very nice gesture by Mahindra

...which have also taken roughly two and a half months to get to them. So they have had their fair share of 'waiting' for the vehicle.

Yeah, and not without a reason. As per latest interaction I had with the dealers here, Mahindra has garnered close to 52,000 bookings for the Thar so far, and have been able to deliver a measly 12,000 or so, till date. With a production capacity of ~3,000 units per month, no wonder the waiting period is in the range of 8-10 months!! The situation is further aggravated by the fact that Mahindra is no longer supplying the Thar to dealers without infotainment system, and any delays in the supply of the latter are affecting delivery dates.

I am not based in Bangalore. You would have to enquire with a body shop or your dealer itself.
