Yeah, it definitely doesn't really 'jump'. It's just a bit more quick than how it would creep at release of brakes. It's a useful feature indeed and am using it more frequently now.
I had asked earlier also but got no response that will there be any negative effect on car if one forgets to disengage auto hold and continues to drive at higher or cruising speeds?

No issues at any speed you drive, since it only engages when the car comes to a halt. I keep it on all the time, drove about 15k kms no issues till now.
I find Android Auto works when connected over USB, but over bluetooth it connects for calls only. There is a "switch to Auto" menu when connected over buletooth, but nothing happens on selecting it.
Can someone confirm if Android auto works over bluetooth for you and how did you set it up?
I am mainly interested in maps. Other than android auto, is there any feature to view maps on the car screen?

I have the same issue, however it is an issue with the phone and not AA as such. I have an older Android Real me phone and I can only connect to AA through a USB cable. My wife has a newer Android 1+ and she can connect her phone wirelessly. Try with a different phone, a newer one if possible and check if it solves the issue for you.

I was facing similar issue, what worked for me was disabling battery optimization for Android Auto. On phone, Android Auto should appear in "Apps not optimized" list in settings. I guess Android Auto needs to keep working in background while phone screen is locked. Hence any setting that prevents it from doing so, like battery optimization or restricted access to maps in background, disconnects Android Auto in wireless mode.
Dear all, are there any Harrier/Safari/Nexon owners on this forum who have serviced their vehicles at Hyson Motors, Thrissur, Kerala? If yes, I would like to know about your personal experiences, which may sway my purchasing decision.
Happy to PM to take conversation outside of this forum.
Mods, apologies if this is not the right place to post this question.
Thanks

Thanks for the tip. Tried that, but it did not work for me.
Currently I must use USB if I need maps, which is not a problem unless the battery is already charged. I do not like to expose the phone battery to possibility of overcharging.
Can Safari owners share how they use the Eco, City and Sport modes?
I tend to use Eco mode in heavy traffic. When it comes to overtaking or if there is a lot of gap from then next vehicle, I tend to temporarily switch to Sport, even in city. Haven't yet driven on a highway.
City mode falls in between. If I want to just forget about mode switching I'd probably keep it in the City mode. While the vehicle is new, I am conscious and tend to switch between Eco and Sport. May be I'll settle for City once I get a bit settled with the new car.
Also, my usage results in switching the mode quite a few times during a journey. Would this have any impact on the engine wear and tear? Shall I be minimizing mode switches?

Mostly City mode for local travel and as well as highway. Eco mode is very boring. On an undivided road, Sports mode helps to pull a quick overtake. I prefer just slotting the gear lever to M mode for overtakes on undivided roads. Muscle memory is set for handling gear lever, rather than looking down to find that sports mode button.
On ghat sections City mode is sufficient for climbs, however sports mode again helps for a quick climb and overtakes. I have often found myself stuck between vehicles on highways and sports mode helps to carve out a quick escape.
My friend owns a Safari Manual version, which is about 18 months old. When he had a puncture, it was noticed that the tpms display showed wrong wheel position. It seems tyres were rotated at service centre, but tpms was not updated. On pointing this out to the service center, my friend was told that it will take some time since the sensors need to be removed from each tyre and refitted. Can you believe that ? I wonder how we can trust these people with cars costing 25 lakhs.
Is there any way we can correct tpms display at home?
Also, my friend got absolutely no manual (printed or soft copy) for the head unit. ASS asserts that there is no manual. Can someone please confirm this ?
Thanks.

https://cars.tatamotors.com/images/s...ers-Manual.pdf
Page 60 of the manual describes the TPMS but there is no information regarding its reprogramming in this section or the maintenance section where tyre rotation pattern is described.
The newer 2021 edition of the owners manual is also silent regarding TPMS programming.
Regarding infotainment display, the owners manual has provided a link, infocating that physical copies were/are not circulated. Clicking on the link takes one back to the owners manual listing.

Thanks.
Forgot to mention that the car is 2021 model.
The links provide only the users manual and not the head unit.
Guys, question on something very basic.
What is the best way to unlock the hatch in Safari when you drive into a mall security check or office?
Remote is one way and the other is to unlock door locks using the lever on driver side door. Is there no smarter cleaner way really? I haven't found any button for hatch release.

Looks like no other option. This thread has become very quiet obviously with the facelift hogging all the limelight.:)
With Safari scoring 5 stars in GNCAP crash test, I am (like many others here) very intrigued to see if those results imply anything for the pre face lift Safari at all? Specially when this is coming without any change in FIAT engine or its positioning that everyone blamed when it came to the reasons why Safari was unlikely to get good safety rating.
And if I get it correct GNCAP rating is based on base variant, so the knee air bag does not come into play.
TATA must have done some tweaks and that's why they waited for facelift.
Does any expert here know what could that be and if pre facelift Safari owners have anything here to cheer about?
Need some input. I own a May 23 Safari XZA+ RDK.
Noticed a thing, when using Carplay, if I use apple maps or Apple Music, the driving directions or Track info is displayed on the driver console. However, while using google maps or any other music app, the same are not shown. Is it a design issue or am I missing out on some settings somewhere.
TIA
