Posted this in Virtus thread and re-posting here as SLAVIA would have similar schedule.
Where can we get the service schedule and changes/inspections to be done for Virtus/Slavia?
The User manual does not have it. Is there a soft copy available or should I ask the dealer?
My previous cars used to have it in the service section with all service items to be carried out. It crossed 2 years and I need to know manufacturer recommendation rather than going on with service center's will. I have the 4 yr SVP so more important to know that they carry out the specified services properly. |

This is a start.
I have not been able to find a detailed service manual either. I stood with my car for the 2nd year service in December. Every line item listed in the above link was dealt with professionally. I was pleasantly surprised to even see them use a brake bleeding machine while replacing the fluid as opposed to doing it manually.
VW 2.0 seems to have this sorted at the very least.
First off, congratulations on your new car, buddy! It looks absolutely perfect.
Regarding the issues with dealers and showrooms—it's just how they operate. They aren't loyal to anyone, and once the car is sold, customer care is no longer their priority. Their main goal is to close the deal as quickly as possible.
I recently bought a Škoda Slavia and completed my down payment, though my loan is still pending disbursement. I informed the bank, just as you did, not to release the funds until I personally approve and call them to proceed.
I booked the car on March 12th and made a ₹1 lakh down payment to secure early delivery. The dealer claimed that a higher booking amount would ensure faster allocation and transit—a classic trap that I fell for, as I had the money ready.
Later, the dealer pushed me to complete the full down payment before the end of March, threatening that if I didn't, the car would be allocated to someone else. Sensing a red flag, I checked with multiple Tafe Škoda showrooms, and all confirmed that the Deep Black Slavia has a 2-month waiting period, exposing how my dealer was trying to pressure me.
Despite this, I went ahead with the down payment but demanded the VIN number immediately, as the dealer claimed the car was already in transit. (I was pretty sure he wouldn’t share it right away.)
Loan Disbursement Pressure:
As expected, the dealer called me on March 29th (after my down payment) and asked me to get the loan disbursed immediately, promising delivery on April 1st.
He even wanted to speak directly with my bank.
I saw through his tactics instantly. I put my loan officer on a conference call and made it clear: “Do NOT disburse the loan without my explicit approval—no matter what the dealer says.”
I also made it clear that if this deal fell through, I would take my business to another showroom.
That was the turning point! The dealer immediately stopped playing games and confirmed that the car was indeed ready and reserved for me.
Tomorrow, I am heading to the warehouse for a PDI and will take delivery around April 14th (an auspicious day for us). The loan will only be disbursed at that time.
- Dealers are smart and strictly follow their playbook—this is their daily job.
- Don’t let them dictate the deal; instead, bend the terms in your favor.
- Hold control over loan disbursement—don’t allow them to rush you into releasing funds before you’re 100% sure.
- Always verify with other showrooms to check if their claims about waiting periods and availability are true.
At the end of the day, you can’t outsmart them completely, but you can make sure they don’t outsmart you either! Stay firm, push back when needed, and never let them pressure you into their timeline—stick to your terms.
Hi BHPians!
I own a Slavia 1.0 AT Style and I recently moved from Gurgaon to Mumbai. The second service is due (have clocked 28.5K now) this month and I need a recommendation for the best SKODA ASS Centre in Mumbai. If anyone can help me with the best service centre that I can visit, it would be very helpful. And in case anyone can recommend or connect me with a great 'Service Advisor' they have dealt with in the past, it would be amazing and truly appreciated. You can DM me, or I can be reached out to on
raghavs90@gmail.com
I'm around Powai, but happy to drive little further if needed for a good service centre. I thankfully have the maintenance package, so let me see what else other than that, the car requires. Hopefully not much!
Thanks a lot in advance :)
Cheers!
Hi,
My Slavia 1.5 is 6 months old and has run 7k kms. With monsoon going to set in Kerala from May end, I was wondering whether I should get the underbody coating for anti rust. I had done this on my old City.
Has anyone done it from the service center or outside and what is the cost?

Your car already comes with underbody coating, if you get a chance to inspect the underbody, you will notice rubber like paint covering the surface of the car. Apart from exhaust system everything is covered.
Hello fellow BHPians,
I’m Pranav, and I’m excited to be a part of this wonderful forum!:) I’ve been a long-time German car enthusiast, having owned a Polo GT (2021) and a Passat, but this will be my first Skoda. I’ve recently booked a Skoda Slavia in Deep Black:loveit, and my delivery is just a few days away. I had the chance to complete a PDI at the stockyard, and I must say—the car looks absolutely stunning! No regrets about my choice at all.
That being said, I’d love to hear from fellow Slavia owners about their experiences so far. Specifically, I have a few queries:
Known Issues: Are there any major concerns that have surfaced with the Slavia, especially regarding reliability?
DSG Worries: I know the infamous DQ200 DSG has had its share of issues in the past. Has Skoda made any improvements, or should I still be cautious?
Delivery & Paperwork: Anything in particular that I should be mindful of while taking delivery? Any last-minute checks you’d recommend?
Ownership & Service Experience: How has Skoda's service been so far for new Slavia owners? Any challenges, or is it smooth sailing?
I’d really appreciate inputs from recent owners on their driving experience, service quality, and any must-have accessories. Looking forward to an engaging discussion and some valuable insights!
Thanks guys!!!
Need a quick favor - anybody bought their Slavia around Dec 2023 and received complimentary SMP and EW? I think there was a festive offer around that time period.
Many thanks in advance.
Does anyone have any idea how I can replace AC touch controls in Slavia with rotary knob-based AC controls? Is it a straightforward plug-and-play-type replacement, or does it need any software changes as well? How much it costs?
I am sick of AC touch controls. These are not at all user-friendly and a lot more distracting.

As a recent owner of Skoda Slavia DSG here are my few cents.
Known Issues: Apart from week AC and random creaky sounds, I don’t know of any major issues. Having said that, I feel the AC is decent. It may not be the best out there but does the job. Indian summers aren’t at its peak yet so will have wait and see. No creaky sounds yet touchwood.
DSG Worries: I used to drive a DCT Ford Aspire for 7 years before Slavia, and I can certainly feel some difference in the behavior. Slavia’s gear shits are smoother than Fords. The car holds on to 2nd gear until its absolutely necessary to drop to 1st. I hope these changes, be it software or hardware, contribute to better reliability. My advise is since you have already taken the plunge, enjoy the ride and don’t fret about ‘what might happen’.
Delivery & Paperwork: Make sure you have everything in written. Don’t rely on oral promises. PDI is important. If you have any queries, don’t shy away from seeking clarification in writing.
Ownership & Service Experience: I am new owner so don’t have service experience yet so I will reserve my verdict on that.
Having driven the car for little over 1000 kms I can confirm that it’s an amazing machine. I am thoroughly enjoying the drives. Dynamics, comfort, build, stability and safety. Ticks most boxes for me. It may not have fancy feature list but I can live with that.

Yes, its better to stick to XP95 and use 91 only in emergency. 95 is also important if you are pushing the car and driving hard now and then. 91 is for sedate driving only. . |
Hello,
I’ve recently purchased a Skoda Slavia Monte Carlo 1.5 DSG, and I’m planning to use XP95 as my regular fuel.
I previously owned a Polo GT TSI (2021 TC model and its LOVELY:loveit) and used XP95 for over two years. It gave me a great overall experience—the engine felt smooth, and the fuel efficiency was consistently good. Before that, I was using Shell V-Power, and to be honest, I didn’t notice a significant difference when I switched to XP95. I'm not exactly sure what octane rating Shell V-Power offers, but performance-wise, both seemed quite similar.
Now with the new car, I’m inclined to continue using XP95 as my daily fuel. Do you think this is a good choice for the 1.5 TSI engine?
Would love to hear your thoughts or any recommendations you might have.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Congrats on the new car.
1.5TSI needs RON95, RON91 only for exception cases.
So XP95 and Power95 are your options.

Congrats on the purchase.
Yes it’s recommended to use 95 octane petrol in 1.5 TSI engines. This is also mentioned in the owners manual and near the fuel cap as well. Many owners have also reported smoother running of engines with 95 octane fuel.

Got the 3yr/45k service done yesterday with the Odo at 30700kms a little short of three years. Nothing much other than an oil change and AC filter change. It was covered under SMP. No one gave a damn about all the mods I had on the car and neither did the approval for SMP/Warranty cause issues. :D Was in and out of the service center within half a day before their lunch break.
Only extra work was the brake pads were almost on their way out and hence got it replaced to avoid another visit to the service center later. The vendor of the brake pads have changed and now its no longer Brakes India but its imported from Czech republic. The first set of pads were replaced proactively by me somewhere around 10k mark, whereas the outgoing pads lasted 20k kms with still some life left in them in spite of me driving hard a couple of times. The first set had developed some grinding noise due to excessive glazing but the second set was okay unti yesterday. Need to see how the imported pads fare. Cost is elevated slightly by 1k. Earlier set costed 6400 and this one 7400.
Overall nothing extra done during service and no issues to fix either(since the minor niggles have been fixed on my own):

Good to see a fast turnaround for regular service and brake replacement. Which A.S.S. do you use in Bangalore ?
