Any idea if this will be coming for Verna as well?

Surely, I feel it will be compatible with all Hyundai 10.25-inch screens, including Verna and Creta as well. I have enquired about this and asked the Hyundai dealership near me to get one for my friend's Alcazar. I will also try on my cousin's Creta to see if it's compatible.

I couldn’t help myself from laughing at this statement from the article:

One of India’s leading car brands, Hyundai, is a shining beacon of innovations and technology. The company is continually updating its portfolio with new and interesting tech. Latest of the bunch is Wired-To-Wireless Adapter..
What’s the innovation here when there are already few options available in market for years that offer a seamless experience without any lag or quality issues! :p

Anyway, I hope they offer this adapter free of cost to the customers who own cars with 10.25 inch screen*

*enough daydreaming for a Sunday morning. I’ll get off my bed now.

I was checking why my wiper nozzle spray threw less water on the windshield. Upon checking I found that most of the water is hitting the wiper blade. :disappointed I see that the nozzle is not clogged; just that the nozzle angle is wrong. Tried adjusting it myself but no luck.

Anyone else facing the same issue? Is it a design flaw?

I think this is a design limitation. From the picture, you see the water hitting the wiper arm, which splashes the water everywhere other than the windshield. Also, the angle of the spray is very low, which does not cover a large area on the windshield. Because of this, the wiper blades will not get enough water to clean AB(C) zones.

Hyundai uses a standard/common nozzle all across their car lines, so the planeum angle matters the most.

I had recently done a drive from Bangalore to Kollam and back within less than 48 hours. Since it was a sudden decision, I was able to leave Bangalore only by 1pm and I had taken the route via Madurai Tenkasi. By the time I got here, some roads were done up with work convert this to a 4 lane highway in progress for a certain distance.

While the headlight are ok, low beam is practically useless and had to use the highbeam most of the time. I did have a surprise on the highway which I was able to avoid where a drunkard who was crossing suddenly decided to stop in the middle of the road and do some weird actions. Since I was going at 70 80kmph, I saw him in the nick of time and avoided him

Since it was March 31st, and by the time, I crossed the ghats and into Punalur, it was past 10pm, the roads were mostly empty.

My start at 1pm lead us to reach by 2.30am the next day. I finished all my work in the morning and decided to start back around 2pm and got to Bangalore around 4.30am the next day.

While the return journey was mostly uneventful, I was again in high beam for the most part owing the lights not having the needed range.

I've decided to go ahead with fitting the 3 inch fogs with the brackets as opposed to Octa which is really expensive and involves tampering with the existing lights which I don't want to do.

Can anyone help with where I can get these fogs with brackets done in Bangalore please?

I just got the third free service done for my 2023 Verna CVT SX(O). The service centre (Modi Hyundai - Goregaon, Mumbai) replaced a part of the steering wheel (bottom bit) citing it was mandated by Hyundai folks. They did it under warranty. The car drives normally and steering mounted control functions are normal.

Any other Verna owner that has had this done? I'm curious as I have not come across this at all anywhere.

I’m facing a critical safety issue with my Hyundai Verna Turbo DCT SX(O) which is just 6 months old and has run around 11,336 km.

Shortly after getting the second service done, a warning started showing up on the dashboard:
“Check Lane Safety System” (attaching a photo for reference).

Even more concerning is that whenever this warning appears, the steering becomes stiff or locks up momentarily while driving. It happens intermittently and is extremely risky, especially at higher speeds or in traffic.

The issue was never present before the second service, so I suspect it might be related to something that went wrong during servicing. For such a critical fault to occur in a new vehicle is deeply disappointing and raises questions about system reliability.

I’ve reported the issue to Hyundai and have requested immediate action. Posting here to see if any fellow members have experienced something similar or have insights into what might be causing this.

Will update the thread as things progress.

What do you mean steering locks up - It won't move even if you try to? That's scary!
Perhaps something related to the below post by cityslicker86.

cityslicker86 - could you please elaborate / share a pic of what was changed so that it's more clear?

No. It's like how the steering feels when you turn off the vehicle.

.

Surely it has to be related to the camera behind the rear view mirror that is used for the lane assist ADAS. Have the service center check the connection and wiring immediately. I presume the camera is the problem because the radar in the front does not aid in lane assist.

Received the "February 2025 Navigation Map and Software Update" this morning.

The most noticeable change seems to be that the confusing "Children Crossing Ahead" warning seems to have been replaced with a more appropriate and useful "School Zone Ahead" warning. I've never turned off this warning, so I was able to notice the difference!

Does anyone know if there are all-black rubber mats as an official accessory? I know the car will be coming with mats as part of the included accessories, but I have a feeling they might be the carpet mats in the second image. Here in rainy Goa those soak up water and stink up the interior (and beige rubber is no good either because of the mud).

Hyundai Mobis

Folks, I did a few experiments to make my Verna 1.5 T-GDi DCT smoother.

The car was butter smooth when new(it is an year old now). When in Bengaluru, I never filled fuel from any station apart from Shell. I had no problems with smoothness whatsoever. The problems started when I shifted to Hyderabad(where there are no Shell petrol pumps). So I started experimenting with both normal 91 RON petrol and XP95(from IOC COCO). The engine vibrations were less with XP95, but there started the problems.

There were jerks/clatter in the following situations:
1. Taking foot off the throttle.
2. Moving in traffic.
3. Climbing a ramp(DCT clatter especially).

Since the Hyundai service center had filled in Servo semi synthetic engine oil(though the manual says only synthetic) 6 months back, I thought it was an engine oil problem and so got a “mini” service done: engine oil change(Shell fully synthetic oil), fuel injector cleaning and throttle body cleaning. Post the service, I was able to restore the smoothness, but it did not last long as I started facing the same problem after 100kms.

This time I was sure that the engine oil is not the problem, fuel is. I still filled XP95, but started adding fuel additive: Adon-P(1ml per litre), available in IOC. The issues were still there, but I persisted filling Adon-P for about 4 full tanks.

Now the car is smooth as new! I am continuing with Adon-P for regular use.

I can vouch for this, even in our Seltos, this additive helps enhance engine performance, fuel efficiency (albeit slightly) and is a worthy option to try out; it helps clean the fuel system, reduces friction, improves combustion and seems to have improved the overall smoothness.

Indoors in artificial light, it looks like Stardust metallic.

The pictures don't...paint the whole picture, IMO. I saw an Amazon Grey i10 Nios on the road during sunset today and you are right about the greenish tinge. I would go one-up and say it is fundamentally an unsaturated green rather than a grey, far from the light grey I thought it was. Reminds me of the 20th-century Videocon washing machines you would find in many Indian homes.

In any case, my dad went ahead with booking Starry Night last week because it was mum's second preference after Titan Grey which they didn't have in stock. I believe dad will be taking delivery tomorrow and thankfully I'm home this weekend, so I will update here when it happens.

Does anyone know what the official dashcam accessory for the Verna is? I would like to get an OEM one if possible but the Hyundai Mobis website does not have any listed for the Verna.
