Am sure anyone who would have bought a Verna IvT would have checked out Honda City too. Could you please outline the factors which would have led you to chose Verna iVT over City CVT.

You should go over the ownership thread posted by KryptonMonkey. It compares City CVT and Verna IVT at multiple points, though spread across the post. Just putting an excerpt here:

It is a variant worthy of consideration in the Verna line-up.
CVT vs IVT: While the City CVT seems to have the more eager driving experience in terms of engine response and handling, the Verna IVT gives a significantly better experience as an overall package due to its better NVH levels and luxurious interiors. Quite frankly, the Verna IVT makes a very strong case against the City CVT now and you’ll need very strong reasons to reject the Verna IVT over the City CVT given the depth of features on offer and the gorgeous interiors at a similar price.
More points on this variant will follow below.

Question for folks in Delhi/NCR, From where did you got the sun shades and how much did they cost you? I am having hard time finding sun shades for my car.

Neodrift make pretty good sun shades and are available on Amazon. I'm sure they will ship to Delhi/NCR . You can even buy and stack two sets for double the effect very easily .

Carlinkit 5.0 2Air Review:

This is my review of the Carlinkit 5.0 Wireless Android Auto Adapter which I got for the 2023 Verna. This solves the major problem of connecting the USB cable for Android Auto everytime I step into the car. The cable has wear and tear and caused USB issues on my phone and was disconnecting if I move the phone or if I hit some hard pothole. So I decided this is a must have and went ahead to get a wireless Android Auto adapter.

Pretty much happy with my purchase and its defintely worth it for Hyundai/Kia cars which don't have wireless AA on its top spec cars.

I recently switched from an Android to an iPhone. While you are basically using this for an Android device, the OEM specs states it is compatible with CarPlay as well. So I am assuming it will work with CarPlay for the 2023 Verna. Have you tried it out with an iPhone? Would it be ok to go ahead and purchase? I am fed up of fidgeting with the USB cable because the connection gets loose frequently.

Unfortunately neither me nor anyone in my family have an iPhone to confirm this. However, I have read reviews of this working with car play also in teambhp itself. But can't confirm it though. Sorry.

Have been using for 6-7 months now and works perfectly with iPhone. No lag, no disconnection. You can go ahead and purchase it.

The 20k service done!

Nothing much to report. The car is running fine. Hyundai gave an option of using Synthetic oil and I took it.

The car is a good highway mile muncher. Hope to add more miles in this year as well.

Sorry if I missed it, but may I know what was the diagnosis of the ASC on the issue of your engine rpm dropping to zero intermittently.

Since this issue never recurred again, I did not do any followup on it.

Hello Fellow Verna Owners,

I picked up a Verna SX DCT on 14th of February. On its debut highway ride, I noticed pulsating vibrations all through the floor board in the front when braking (slightly heavier than normal) from 80+ kmph. This also was accompanied with vibrations in the steering. I dismissed this as the brakes bedding in in the initial few hundred kms but, it continued till the car reached 1500 kms on 3rd of March.
Dropped the car at FPL Hyundai service centre in Koyambedu Chennai and informed about the same. The service advisor assured that the brake callipers were removed, brake disc and pads were cleaned and reinstalled. However, on 5th of March, I took it for another work for a 680 kms round trip and I experienced the same pulsating feel from the brakes.
I am taking the car again on 7th of March to the service centre to drive and show the folks there. Hoping to get a resolution.

Is it normal in Verna? Does it take more driving and brake bedding in to settle? Request other owners to comment. Mine has 2 discs in the front and not all 4.

I'm curious to know if your issue was resolved.

I have the all 4 disc brakes model and I haven't experienced any of what you mentioned. The brakes have been pretty much on point right from the first drive.

In addition to talking to service advisors at the service center, I would recommend that you test out another Verna with the same configuration of brakes as yours (2-disc setup). Maybe do back-to-back drives in both around the same circuit with the service center folks and see if the two cars behave differently under the same test conditions.

I did some online searches with the symptoms that you mentioned and some common points that emerged were related to the rotors, calipers and uneven brake pad wear.

Some examples:

It's definitely an issue that needs a fix. Don't ignore it assuming it to be a bedding-in issue.

Dear all,
One of my relatives is fixed on picking up a Verna SX(O) variant but is confused between the Turbo and N.A engines.
Apart from the powertrain differences, rear disk brakes and Electronic parking brake, there are some ADAS features missing in the N.A variant. Does any one know if there are any hardware difference between them and if the missing ADAS features can be activated. Thanks in advance.

Is there any way to turn off auto-breaking when reversing? Its really disturbing when car apply breaks in very common parking conditions in India, while reversing on a normal busy road it applied auto-breaks multiple time, even though there was not anything to worry about. Its really irritating for me and my wife. It would be great if I can turn these off permanently.

The Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance setting reverts to default setting of "ON" when the car is turned on as far as I remember.
The front collision and emergency braking are tuned pretty well and don't interfere that much from my test drive experience of about an hour with Verna SX(O). The car brakes really hard when I had to take the car out and there were people and bikes coming in and they just don't want to apply their brakes when someone is reversing to come back on the road.

In India, its very difficult to manage such things & its beyond control as well? It can be a real deal breaker if this can't be turned off. It can lead to an accident as well.

You can switch it off by disabling the Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance but it would also turn off the blind view monitoring. Ideally they should have given granular controls, but this is what we have to live with if you really want to disable it. It will not turn on unless you turn it on again.

I have become very used to it and I am almost always able to predict that it is going to apply emergency brake when reversing, so the jerks are minimal.
