Yes, please remove any third party branding. I always feel the more cleaner the vehicle the better it looks. I have debadged my entire Thar 3 door. Will do the same with my 5 door once I get this week or next. |

How much it costed ?
How the fog lamps, Parking sensors and Radar got fixed in this bumper |
I actually got it removed as there were issues with radar, at that time there wasn’t much clarity on how to fit radar properly as mine was one of the first cars to get this bumper. I think they’ve figured it out now.
I’m however really smitten by Prad bumper but scared of attracting legal attention as my family members also use the car. Any idea if I can get away with it in north India?

Surprised that you have not received your vehicle yet. The MX3 P AT was one of those variants where the delivey started very early and many in this forum got theirs quite early too. I boked on the same day as you and got my car by the end of November 2024 itself. I feel your dealer may be playing games. Better write to Mahindra customer service marking the dealer and expressing your displeasure.
This variant escaped the price increase in the last round kam but has been hit with the 30,000 rupee price in the latest May 2025 round of price hikes. It is still fantastic value IMO. |
I had received allotment call from Mahindra on November 2024 but the dealer had assigned that model to someone else and promised me to give the car in January 2025 as it will be new year registration. I agreed and since then he has been pushing days forward.
Since my wife has worked in Mahindra as an engineer on Xuv 700 P AT gearbox manufacturing, she raised it with Mahindra and filed a complaint, now hopefully we should get the car soon.
Today I received a call that they have white colour available. But I denied and said that I have waited so long and will not compromise any further specially after price hike.
Thanks,

The car I was getting was without the current upgrades of brown interiors and better wipers, so I got around 40K in accessories free and a 1 Lac discount :) I took delivery on the 19th of May, and I absolutely love it.
Thank you for taking the time to read this long post and for attaching a picture of the delivery day. |
Congratulations , white looks better on Roxx than 3-door Thar. AFAIK, mocha brown interiors are reserved for 4x4 and new batches of 4x2 are coming with grey interiors (not brown as you mentioned).
Finally got the allotment call from the dealer today evening, for which I have been longing for around 6 months now. Thought of visiting the showroom tomorrow for getting the price break up & discussing further procedures.
It would be great to get some insights from current owners about PDI or any kind of "Headsup" pointers.
Also was planning to go for Lenso Wheels, any dealer contacts would be much appreciated. TIA

Yes, that was a typo on my end mocha grey the new interior colour and yes the aero twin wipers and passenger side adjustable armrest were the differences.
Another point I would like to mention in my short usage of the car is how the rain visors create an absolute havoc after crossing 70 Kmph, so best avoid this accessory.

The White looks great from the front and rear, but once you see it from the side, the oddly protruding piece of metal above the rear door spoiled everything for me. This absurd design element is most visible in white and less so as the paint color gets darker, least visible in Black.
This is why I opted for Black, as this oddity is not prominently visible at all in the Stealth Black Roxx.

I was torn between white and black colour choice. Finally went for the black one. I did the PDI 2 days back. Things to do
1. Carry the team-bhp PDI guide. That's super comprehensive and helpful.
2. Verify VIN and ODO meter reading. Ideally should be less that 50kms.
3. My thar Roxx was dirty especially the footrest area and the panaromic sunscreen area. I had to tell the SA to make sure it's clean when I take the delivery. They said they would do a foam wash etc before handover. Given the rains and the light coloured interiors this is a genuine problem for them too. So be more attentive on this.
I did a lot of research on tyres and alloys. But I do not want the tyres to touch the bumper and nor do I want the alloys to protrude out a lot. (offset) - So still unsure. In my 3D thar I had found good plati alloys and great Yoko tyres. Not so sure with these 19" stock setup. Another option is to size down to 18" alloys.
Also note that the 3D thar alloys won't work for 5D thar.
Happy miles ahead. Do share which alloys / tyres you go for. :Cheering:

Ditto.
After possessing a few black cars, I had nooked white but precisely due to the unprecedentedly odd side profile of this vehicle, and the fact white is kind of snow white (perhaps, wrangler type slightly lesser white would have looked better), got black eventually.
By the way, reason shared by M&M for such an odd side profile is even more odd than the profile itself.

Agreed ! and that's why I have mentioned that Roxx looks "better" than 3-door Thar in White but Black is the one which suits the character of this machine followed by Deep Forest and Tango Red.
I have seen couple of Roxx's in White with 3M black tape applied on the protruding piece of rear door. It made it look somewhat better from the side but still nowhere in a league of Black Thar.

Interesting… Everyone in my family loves White and Red; and dislike black Roxx lol:
Visited showroom today(Sireesh Bommasandra), found the vehicle manufactured in May itself. The sad part is that the prices have hiked again, its close to a Lakh now since launch.
Had taken an Insurance quote from Tata AIG for 61k, but the dealer has agreed to match the quote.
Vehicle is said to be arriving in 2 days time, fingers crossed.
And.. I cancelled my top most variant booking after 7+ months in April. Feels funny to read about this 6mths lead time heading in May. I on the other hand am happy that I got a chance to change my mind. The wait helped me decide on something else better suited for me.
I emailed dealer and Mahindra attaching the Autocar article.
Silence from their end.
So, I forwarded the whole thread to Autocar that my Roxx booking from Nov 2024 is still being said to be Sep 2026. So, requested Autocar to update the article or retract it, unless it is a paid article.
Knowing Indian auto publications, they won't probably do anything. No wonder no one trusts or buys these magazines anymore.
BTW my booking is for AX7L 4*4 Auto with Mocha brown interiors.
Just got a call from Hare Krishna Mahindra, Mumbai that a Black AX7L 4X2 Diesel is available. In case any one is interested.
