To all those who are debating on the Punto v/s Swift deal, here is my 2 cents. I have both the cars and after 50,000 each on both of them, the swift makes a hell lot of noise and all of it doesnt come from the engine. The suspension also have gone all squishy and I can feel all the imperfections of the road. Where as the Punto is still as good as new. No rattles, Suspension is still solid. Havent had any issues yet from the service guys. In fact it has been quite excellent even opening up their service centre at 10pm on a holiday to take care of a situation I had. Initially we were all quite taken in by the sudden rush of power on the swift and the younger lot of the family made a beeline for the car. These days its the Punto, the car of choice. |

I've installed this and its from Autocop. It has a small graphic on the IRVM with distance indicator. It switches on with the reverse gear. Along with the graphic, there is a beep indication which is intermittent to start with and when the distance shows 0.3mts, it becomes continuous. Its really helpful since the rear view is limited but the downside as someone has posted earlier is that we loose the day/night mirror functionality. I don't know about other brands, but autocop mirror is like a Evening mirror...its not irritating in the night but also has good visibility during daytime. |

It is very evident that the soot has permeated and found it's way somehow from the engine bay. I attached a pic of the cloth after wipe. I am a first time owner of a diesel powered car, hence excuse my ignorance and confirm if such occurrences are uncommon for any diesel car for that matter. I feel odd about this whole thing.. The stock lamps are just about right if you're going to stick speed limits. As the speed increases spotting objects becomes very difficult. Also the stock high beam does fairly good job. Why don't you try it for few days before upgrading? I've been using 90/100 for about 30k and my headlights have darkened slightly - not noticeable really, but for me I can always replace the cluster not ourselves because indian highways is full of surprises. |

If in 30 days you're able to notice the discoloration then in the future its only going to get worse. |

hiren.mistry, teky has explicitly mentioned that his car has run ~30,000km and the headlamps have darkened slightly. I don't see any mention of 30 days. May be you got confused of 30k to be 30 days. lol: |
