3M CR35

Additional added door bumpers (not sure what is exact name buts its small fitment to avoid door scratches) - no cost, part of bargain.

For frontwindshield he is quoting Rs 4800 for 3M CR70 and Rs 3600 for Garware (i guess he said icecool make).
Please suggest which one is better.

For speakers JBL i guess model was 609 somthing he is quoting Rs 4500 with 2 yrs warranty. It includes 2 speaker, 2 tweeters and ome kind of box in package (sorry not too good with ICE lingos).
Is this a good deal?

Please avoid the windscreen stuff, try driving a car which has this mod because some people get a headache when driving with this. I know a few cases among immediate family.

The JBL that you mention is listed at 7K on their website, its been around for a year atleast (as long as I have been eyeing it), so the prices mentioned are ok. Maybe you can manage that at 4K, the dealer is probably quoting installation too? That separate thing is called crossover( Not good with ICE lingo, just copy pasted:D), indiajbl.com is the website.

I guess he has given you CS35 and quoting 4800 for CS70 (which is not recommended for windshield film). From what I have seen on the catalogue, there is no CR35 but only CR50 for the sides & rear which should cost around 15k. Garware ice cool shield is RS3500 with 5 yrs warranty. If he is not giving warranty, please avoid as there are lot of fakes around

^^Guys: I really doubt the effectiveness of these films on the windscreen.

How will you improve your driving skills at night?

Guys,
I will tell you my story. I agree that OEM HU given by FIAT is not that great however I would say if you love the Blue and Me then one has to live with it.
So i changed the set up of my ICE but HU is still there and now the sound is really awesome in my car.
I mean the HU is generating enough BASS and TREBLE along with a good surround and now am very happy with it.
Change all the door units, get oblongs behind and get a 4 channel amp and a sub - I am sure all your wishes would be fulfilled.
Yes the warranty is void because if this setup however I am least concerned about the warranty of the HU and other electricals related to it.

Could you explain your ICE setup with model and budget info as well? :thumbs up

I'm looking to upgrade the ICE as soon as possible (Once I get the car. :D), and I'm keen on retaining the HU, just for looks, steering controls and blue &me.

Hi,

does the OE HU have a Amp and Sub connection facility? Then Its GREAT!! How did you manage the same? Any pics

Thats correct teky, although the HU is crap its worth retaining just for the Blue & Me. The connects2 interface costs around 4K. Nishantgandhi has ordered it and will be installing a JVC 926BT HU to his car.

I kinda agree, But please do listen to the JVC 926 and you'll change your opinion. There is a world of difference, my ICE journey started of with plain comps upfront + co-axials mounted on the rear, Lost the B&M box due to rat menace and ended up with JVC 926. amit_mechengg has quoted that blue & me still works with the aftermarket HU in another thread, if it's true then you would be better off dumping the stock HU.

Subbarao,

1. Check the ac pollen filter, replace if necessary.

2. Get the ac duct positioning checked in recirculation / fresh air mode. I think when u set to recirculation mode, fresh air is still seeping in, as the path is not getting closed.

Hi,

To day I went Aadya service opp. to Lumbini garden to rectify the said problem,

1. pollen filter was changed in last 1st service[15k km] so not required to change.

2. They found some gap in fire wall. i.e. ..i have drawn Power cable for Amp's through a small gap in firewall which enter at the back of glove box. SA said the rubber gromet was not their & he filled with a new rubber. he assured that smell will be avoided.

With this i changed right rear door beeding to new one b'caz of old one was torned.

About the experiance of servce station..

Actually i have booked the appointment for tommorrow at 9-30, but SA called me & said that he is ready to do the work today itself if poosible come over to service station, so i confirmed & took half day leave & went around 1pm even though it was lunch hour he took my punto inside, made inventory of vehicle, problem reported in job card & told me to wait for his call around 4pm, got a call as expected, he explained me on phone about works attended on my punto & took my permission to change the Gasket of door, i was again at his place at 5-35, car was ready, he again expalined & showned the attended problems, it's pleasent to see the well bathed beauty..!..punto.

While he prepares the bill i asked about the spares availabilty, he said usual replacement parts are readily available only rare parts to be ordered & ordered spares will be available within 3-4days, he added one more good news that FIAT are on talks with current service/new partners to open a dedicated Fiat sales & service in next 2-3 months in bengaluru, he is very confident that situation will definately improves further.clap:

Finally he asked me to mark 10 on feed back call....definately i will mark 10...he deserves that.

Aadya is a relatively new dealership, so after some teething troubles, they seem to be doing a good job. I do know that they got quite a few people from Maruti A** so they can have a better team.

I am happy to see that you have had a good experience in the dealership, but do let us know after a couple of days of using the car, if the problem has been addressed correctly.

Hi.

Definately it is under observation, will update after some days.:)

This is the 3rd time i visiting Aadya, yes it was some mess i felt at earlier visits, even in earlier feed back calls from fiat i have given them below 7 scores, again i choose them b'caz they close to my place compare to Concorde mysore road,

Spotted this at the A.S.S., I feel the red taping could have been better finished or painted, rest looks cool. he had even smoked his headlights & tailights -

Just heard from two different dealers that Fiat is hiking its car prices post 15th march. So if any of you guys are waiting to buy a Fiat, go ahead asap. For Punto, the increase is 40k it seems! Wonder how fiat can afford this much of a hike.

Just back from the PDI of my new punto 2012 mjd emotion. VST motors dealer stockyard is a good 35 kms from Chennai city in Poonavalle. The car had been washed before I reached there. Had good idea of team bhp checklist and found the car to be quite satisfactory.

The VIN number ends with ALZ meaning its Jan 2012 make
The Odo showed a reading of 12 kms and the speedo was not disconnected
The glove box was slightly misaligned which was pointed out
All the electricals were working fine.
Tyres were Goodyear GT3, spare wheel not an alloy
Couple of stain marks on the car which should be gone after a good wash.
All the MID information were in Italian ;) . Couldnot figure out how to change it

Should be taking delivery next week.

After living with the car for 2 days and 300 kms I can definitely say that the sound system is a major downer in this car.
Today while rust prevention was being done on the car I saw the OE speakers, I cannot tell you how bad they are. Paper cones!! :Shockked:

I agree that 926BT would do a world of difference to the music quality in the car. As of now I've prioritised my upgrade, they look something like this:
  1. Upgrade to Yokohama C-drives - done!
  2. Sun control filming
  3. Seat covers
  4. ICE upgrade

Lets see how it goes.

Cheers
