Hey buddy, the alloys in the manza launch are not a standard fitment. I TDed the car at Concorde,Prabhadevi- Mumbai and all the display/td CARS WERE WITH ALLOYS. When i enquired to the sales rep whether we can have the alloys on display fitted for customers , he mentioned he wasnt aware of the cost but mentioned it would roughly be between 20-30k which i felt was expensive. Hope this helps.
Initial advertisement (called Teaser Campaign in Marketing Jargon) for the Indigo Manza, where the showed only a part of the car interiors and also the competition to get chance to own a chauffer driven manza for a day, had no mention of Indigo. They were advertising it only TATA MANZA. It was only at launch that they revealed that it was Indigo Manza.
I think Tata has enough marketing muscle and reach now and they could have named the car only Manza and still it would have done well. But I think they had other things in mind also, they wanted to discontinue the older conventional Indigo as the sales had gone down tremendously in the recent past. So they had to fill the void created by the subtraction, which the manza can so very well do.
Also note that just 2 months before the discontinuation of the conventional Indigo, they had launched a face lifted Indigo CS with the same front looks (headlights, grill and bumper) as in the conventional Indigo. This is excellent product strategy from TATA and now the CS looks much better and upclass. This can also be seen in the improved sales of the CS.
Today evening saw Manza Indulge in Style Adv. on TV for the first time and that too on multiple channels with couple of hours. Campain looks good, but a bit too short given that later the adv. are typically cut short to jump to the end. Wonder if this signals Tata getting ready for mass booking.

Any ideas how many Manzas Tatas have booked? I am yet to see a single one on road therefore I guess deliveries are slow. |
In Bangalore , it seems Concorde booked about 30 Manzas so far !? I was like..hello , that's way too less. Sales Rep:- but that is good number (sic) sir!
I suppose it won't really pick up until the New Year. Enough reasons for it I suppose with 2010 model and what with no discounts available.I don't know about Prerana and Manipal Motors though.I have sighted at least 4 Manzas in the general East Bangalore area. One was registered and the other three were
without the registration numbers.

Thank You very much :)
No offence in naming it Indigo Manza, may be Tata has an intention to express their improvement of the older models like Indigo. As someone in this forum said its a brand recall. These things may the intention of Tata.
As far as alloys is concerned, its not avaialble even in the top variant of Manza. Not an issue, i personally feel Tata has done something good in this regard because usually the Company fitted alloys may not be liked by many. In case it was fitted by Tata originally, we should learn to live with it even though one doesn't like the alloy or spend again on the alloys.Certaily better alloys can be fitted outside.
Many bookings and deliveries can be expected in the end of March 2010 or early April 2010 which comes out as 2010 manufactured cars

:uncontrol:uncontrol That was a good one firstguri. Hilarious. @ sierrakamat- The Dzires boot looks ok "nowadays" as we are exposed to the rear of the car for more than a year now. Do wait for a year and you ll feel the the Manza looks more better.

Yeah I suppose. The response to the vehicle has been very good and the TATAs might not have anticipated so much love ;). Actually on their Facebook page (
Indulge in Manza | Facebook) people are talking about booking a test drive but not receiving one. Thats the kind of response only the test drives have got. Might be altogether on another level when it comes to car bookings. I am pleasantly surprised by the way Manza has been received !
I was going thru the latest ACI and noted that the Manza has been added in the New Car buyer's guide. The comments are: It's Dull to Drive & Quality not upto global levels. But your attn is invited to the preceding entry, the Vista, here Ride and Refinement are listed as Vista's plus points. How's this possible man? We all know that the Manza has started off where the Vista left and taken the game fwd.
Take your attention to the succeeding entry, Indigo CS, it says LX DICOR sells for 5.22 in Delhi and the LS DICOR for 5.37, O Blimey! how did that happen man. Looks like a bunch of amateurs run this mag (and I've read just these three entries in detail, o lord, lemme not come up with more nuggets!) (18K for 10gms, I'm told)

Yes some of the details are incorrect. It's not intentional and if you bring this to their notice then they'll correct it and even thank you for it. And I think the comments about Manza are with respect to it's segment.
