Multi-Brand Workshop - Car Sense Motors (Kochi)

I was introduced to a multi brand car workshop at Kalamassery on the outskirts of Kochi. I got some work done on my Alto and the way in which they went about doing the work was worth mentioning.
While handing over the car I had lot of personal belongings, you can call it part of a SOMO (Small Office Moving Office) which were well kept without even any one item getting missed or misplaced even after doing an interior cleaning. The workshop run by three persons jointly is equipped with all proper tools and tackles.

The workshop has the following facilities,
1. Paint Booth
2. Nippon Paint Mixing Unit
3. Body Repair Section.
4. Bosch Vehicle Scanning unit

Note; This is posted only in appreciation of the good work done on my car and the facilities available and is is in no way connected for any commercial interest or benefit whatsoever.

It is located on a side road near the Kalamasserry Municipal Town Hall. There is a accident relief bunk near the entry point to this road and there are guiding sign boards
Rates are very competitive and what is worth mentioning is that the spares are replaced only if it is really required and sticks to committed completion time.

From what I can see in the pics, they don't seem to do any work on premium cars. Or do they? I need to get my Passat serviced at some honest place.

Any suggestions to service my verna CRDI (old model) in cochin. Dealers are quoting close to 10k for regular service. The car's done 70k.

Petrol Swift - White Smoke from Exhaust & Cochin Workshop Recommendation

My 2007 model petrol Swift VXi has been emitting white smoke. While the smoke is quite massive in the morning, there is a constant a high volume of emission even during drives. I've a bad feeling it's a case of oil entering the chamber and this means an engine overhaul

This car isn't my daily driver anymore. I'm also moving abroad in a month or two, so the pragmatic move is to sell it. But I'm way too emotionally attached and can't even think of letting go. Thinking of repairing it and handing over to a relative.

That said, the car is not in top shape and it's indeed unbecoming of a true bhp'ian. I truly regret not having taken care of my Swift the way it deserved. Right now, I'm on the lookout for the right guy in Cochin who can restore the interior, exterior and mechanicals to all it's lost glory.

Can someone please suggest the best possible options in Kerala, preferably in Cochin?

Good thing about Swift is it is quiet easy to restore, almost all the MASS would have relevant parts and the petrol engine is relatively cheap to fix. I feel taking an estimate from a good dealership workshop would be a good idea, before you go shopping for other workshops.

Will wait for local Cochin TeamBHP'ians to suggest more.

Just saw this now.

Autoteam Maruti Service Centre is good for mechanical work. They are quite good with troubleshooting issues and reasonable too. You can find them here - https://goo.gl/maps/vJCH4sykiSw

Thank you so much deetjohn. I've taken my car to Autoteam and found their services average. They were like any other typical Maruti dealer, but lacked the personal attention the car needed. I'm still looking for the right guy who can iron out the finer issues with attention to detail. Autoteam works well for a regular service

That's sad to hear. They were the best when compared to the other other run of the mill service centers for mechanical troubleshooting. I used to take our Swift there to address the issues outside of regular service.

I think the next best option is a reliable FNG. Let me try and find some options if possible from my friends. For good or bad, I haven't used a Maruti for more than 2 years now.

That will be really helpful. There are good folks to restore Vintages around town, but hard to find someone who can tastefully restore a decade old swift.

Okay, I got this one through a friend on mine.

Agan Motor Works

Why don't you try them? No personal experience but the setup looks good from photos in Google and the person who referred is happy with the service.

Not yet. I spoke with the service manager at Auto Team and he sounds a very genuine guy. So I'm first exploring my options with them, before speaking to others.
