I used to when I initially bought my car. But after 3 - 4 weeks I once filled in the BP at Wanawadi. Hence stopped going here. I mostly tank up at BP Wanwadi or BP at Koregaon park (one of the double petrol pumps).

I often fill up at this pump. No issues so far with respect to quantity.

I don't know about quality but at least I have not had any bad experience so far.

I had to gas up my bike from there just yesterday. Its a HP bunk and the receipt says "Shinde Petroleum". I normally use normal petrol + System 2 3, but this time I decided to try Power (1st time for me). I normally never fill up anywhere except at the RTO bunk or at Shell, but I recalled that someone here had mentioned that his experience with the fuel was good and we needed fuel pronto as we were going for a longish ride.

The ride after that was on the highway at average speeds of 70 - 80 kmph and sometimes touching 100 kmph. For 2 litres the bike returned just 36.5 kmpl! :eek: Thats just about the lowest efficiency I'v seen in my bike. Now one can't be 100% sure with just one test like this, but I don't feel confident about the bunk at all.

Bike also felt as if it had a tad less oomph... but again, its difficult to be sure, esp. with just one test.

I could feel that the attendants weren't half as good as the RTO bunk guys (won't even mention shell, lol!). Also they tried to hassle me to make payment while I had my eyes glued to the meter. They didn't bother to explicitly mention when they reset the meter.

Won't go there again unless its a dire need, which is rare.

Have Shell pumps closed down in Pune?

I think so too. A friend who works near Kharadi tells me that the one in Kharadi has shut down.

I went to the one on highway (after wakad : next to Soul Curry) : even that one was closed.

Shell petrol pump in hinjewadi is still operational, mostly due to lower rates compared to other outlets in city area.

^^^Great! Any idea till what time they are open in the night?

I had tried ~6 months ago. They were open around 10PM, and, officially till 11pm.

Was around that area last night... it was closed. :Frustrati But then it was around 10:30 - 11 pm.

The Hinjewadi bunk seems to be closed down,went there a couple of days back & it was closed :Frustrati
Got full tank from HP pump.The quality seems to be pathetic,I can very easily feel the difference now.The accelaration,smoothness has disappered

Is there any other shell bunk in Wakad or is it the same just before the Hinewadi chawk?

Filled up at this bunk yesterday night. Shell Regular Diesel @ Rs 45.50 per lit

Official close time for Shell Bunks is 10 pm

There is one at Wakad and one at Hinjewadi.

The Wakad one (which I am talking about in the posts above) is after Soul Curry Restaurant : opp.Indira Institute of Management

The best pump IMHO is Autolines on University Road (under the agriculture college flyover, the left turn from FC road to Univ. Road). The attendants are helpful. They never cheat. The owner is very helpful too.

The other pumps you can fill up are :
1) RTO BP Pump.
2) Kulkarni at FC road.
3) Gogate BP pump on karve road.
4) BP pump on LBS road.
5) Expressway Pumps are good.

The biggest crooks are :
1) HP pump at Chandni Chowk
2) The HP pump at Chaturshringi
3) The BP pump at Baner (never ever fill up there)
4) Aundh HP Pump
5) IOC Company Pump at Maldhakka Chowk (crooks)
6) The BP Pump on the left side of Uni. Road/ Agri. College Flyover.
7) IOC pump opp. ESquare.
8) The HP Pump on Pashan Road is crap too.
