Let the pictures do the talking for my little Fiat 1100 who is into her golden jubilee year. After almost 15 years of suspended animation, she has been made roadworthy again. She has not been restored to original specifications but more to the personal liking of my father and my own. I have received the esteemed guidance and help from the great fellow BHPian Mr Rony Vesuna of FCCCI and owe him a big one on this. Hope the very illustrious members like the little car and excuse her flaws. Let the pictures do the talking!!! Thanks for stopping by to take a look.

As the paint work proceeded

Few more from the workshop

No chrome-plating!!! Kept it the way it was!!!

Work went on for like two odd months!!! Rony told me a million times, that the steering wheel was put the wrong way in... however i let it stay that way. It was dead stuck there- cannot risk a crack with monster attempt!!!

And she came into my grandfathers last dwelling !!! Please dont mind those bucket seats and Amby Mk 1 headlamp eyelids. Those are a few personal touches !!!!

Just awesome. clap: Brings back very happy memories. We had one till 2003 till it was gifted. Biggest mistake :Frustrati

I learnt driving in this and it was my daily drive to college even in the year 2003. Was quite a head turner driving into college in this.

Ours was 1962, and my dad was the first owner.

Simply superb. Fiat 1100 had its own charm in those days and indeed - you have done justice to it in this rejuvenation. Correct me if I am wrong... was the before steering wheel from Maruti 800/Omni of the 90's era?

Its a Premier Padmini steering wheel

Few of the latest shots for your views. I saw her for the first time after her renovation and was completely devoted to her!!!. She needs a few original fittings like the rear view mirror with in-built lamp and a few interior lamps. That can wait till some benevolent soul finds them for me.

Hi dudesam
Very very pretty & cute looking. Fantastic finish , very neat restoration.
In mysore several of them are running in mint condition. I intensely feel like owning one but they are not affordable now a days..
Lucky you. Have a great ride :).

These Maruti type steering wheels came as after market fittings for Padminis!!! Someone had switched ours ages ago!

Very, very well restored! :)

There is room for improvement, all the same. Great effort nevertheless!

Thank you very much sir. I know its full of areas requiring attention to details and improvement but given the kind of craftsmanship available at my hometown Cuttack, I am really happy that we could reach this far. However upkeep is a constant process and ideas and suggestions are welcome from seasoned and experienced car aficionados like you sir to make improvements
