1951 Morris Minor: how much could I expect?

hay guys,
I own a OLIVE GREEN Morris Minor.....
i dont have any pics as of now... will post as soon as the restoration work is complete.
Its a 1951 ,4 dr model with a 8 hp engine.
It used to run on a dynamo but now runs on a alternator.(By run i mean the battery getting charged) ...most of the running parts are original... i cant say the same about the interiors .. Will post some pics soon.
How much do you guys think i could expect if i were to sell her..??
Its still registered as a TMK *@# .

THE MODS CAN MOVE THE THREAD TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION IF NECESSARY .it is a IMPORTS AND CLASSICS thread rite ??

My first car was a Morris Minor, black in color.
actually belonged to my Uncle, who asked to me to keep it till he figured out what he wanted to do with it.

I drove her for like a year or so.
The damn gaskets just kept blowing up.
Also around this time, my family bought a second hand 800.

We were unable to maintain both these cars and I also had a bike.
College days, car just kept getting dirty and dirty.
finally sold her off in 1997 for 5k or something.
Car was in running condition at that time.

I miss that car, was a stupid stupid thing to do.
I know my uncle regrets selling her off more than I do.
It was his first car too.

The best thing about her, was that I had a old mechanic come home and work on her.
I used to work as his assistant and learnt some stuff.
Once we removed the engine. I lifted her up. That felt so strong, I still wanna boast about it.

Hi Vibhu, run us through the restoration. To know how to post pictures on team-bhp, go through the announcements section. Good luck on your project.

God Cyrus, take a break! Not all cars posted around are for sale buddy. Hope you realize that there are more people like you who collect such cars than restore and sell.

This is a well loved and collected vehicle all over the world.
Price depends on how original the restored condition is:
Original door handles, original wheels and hubcaps, quality of tinwork, quality of paint, shine on the Chrome, does the semaphore-trafficator work?

Some people restore to original condition.
Some people use parts from modern cars and create a hot-rod.
These are usually faster, safer and more reliable but definitely not worth as much as an accurately restored original.

A typical Morris Minor, two door or four door sedan can go for anywhere from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 2,00,000 depending on condition.

The Morris Minor 1000 (a few were imported in India) commands more money: Rs. 1,50,000 to 3,00,000.

An original 948 cc Morris Minor engine (in running condition) alone will fetch around Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 8,000. And not chor-bazaar scrap.

The Morris Minor Convertible version can go for Rs. 3 to 3.5 lakhs
The Morris Minor Traveller (station wagon) version can go for Rs. 3 to 4 lakhs.
The pickup version is rare. Can go for even Rs. 6 lakhs plus.

And most importantly the price depends on the condition of the buyer and seller.

ram has put the prices a wee bit high.
usually MM' sedans go between 40000-150000 depending on the condition and the craze of the buyer
