Welcome to the forum Santaji!! For a 13-year old young man, that's a nice car you got there! You allowed to drive it??

And yeah, nice blog too! Have fu here & do remember to read the rules.

P.S. I don't know why but somehow I think you're going to be a great understudy for Karl!

Hello Santaji. We met at the Beetle club rally in Lonavala this year. I am thankful to you for my profile picture here - http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/members/moralfibre.html . You handle the Mac like no one handles their Beetles. You know of VW's at par to people twice / thrice your age. Thats a perfect foundation to be a VW head with quad turbo's. Way to go and enjoy your stay here.

Here's your beetle at the VCCCI rally Bombay -

Infamous man

Welcome aboard Santaji. I have a historical question for you. Do you know what infamous man was the general designer of the V.W. bug? I will give you 3 hints. His initials are A.H. and he died in 1945 in Europe.

Can we rephrase that? He commissioned it, not designed, though he did make these raw sketches on a napkin.

John, you must also give due regards to the older ones viz 'Love Bug', 'Herbie Rides Again', 'Herbie goes Monte Carlo', and 'Herbie goes Bananas'. 'Herbie fully Loaded' is the latest of the lot. I presume you have tried matching his age with the movie that was released at that time.

Incidentally, santaji's beetle reminds me of one in a similar colour I've seen junking away at an abandoned petrol pump that has quite a few classics (including the fiat 1600 estate as identified by ram) and a coupla '20s-ish cars!
No idea if that beetle's the same model but it looks like an old one only...
