Hey guys. Was there any model called the Fiat Nouvelle 1100 before the millecento?? Coz i recently came across such an example, but couldn't find any info regarding the same. The owner insists its an original car. Can the gurus shed more light on this issue?? Was this produced in India? Or an import?
Dear Jay,
I have not heard of Fiat Nouvelle 1100. The pictures you posted are of Millicento, but the thread is of Super Select. Am a bit confused
Well For one, The Headlights have been replaced with the big Padmini type Headlights. @karl, Look at the Rear lines. After the Rear glass ends, The millicento/elegant's lines go right roght down. These dont appear to be. Could it be this car?

Sorry about the thread name . I didn't name it. The new thread was created by the mods afer seperating my posts from another thread. I've asked them plenty of times to change the title to the restored fiats thread, but no response!:Frustrati
@GTA, the car u've shown has the select/super select type back. Whereas the one which i've posted has the dukkar look.
I agree, the headlamps have been changed to the bigger ones though.
I have seen a similiar one in Bangy, and yes about the nouvelle 1100.
Has it got an factory fitted a/c and is the dashboard rounded.
Those lights are also Original.
Will post those car pics very soon.

Dunno about the Ac pavan, Haven't seen the car directly. Was shown only the photographs. Is it the centre console that is visibe in the interior pic?? I can see some buttons there.
You mean the big lights are original? This car is a 1954 model. So it should have the smaller lamps right??

Those lights are NOT original. The Big lights came only after 1958.

Look Closely how the rear end slopes down unlike the Select/Super Select.
Also see the SMALL lights. Those lights never came in the SELECT/SUPER SELECT

Errr... i never said it had anything to do with the select series!!:D. It was u who posted the pic(of the blue fiat something i dunno!) remember. As i've said earlier. The mods refuse to change the thread name for some reason best known to them!!
Can it be this car? Looks quite similar.

Yes GS. This is the car. Look at this.
This advertisement is in Dutch.
Nieuwe means
New in dutch. And
nouvelle is French for
New.
But the car in question Does Not have original lights.
I dont see what the confusion is about. The black car in question is a 54-56 Fiat 1100, which in Italian is Millecento. The original 1100 was launhed somewhere in the late 30s and in 53 was launched the nuova Millecento, the 103 series. Nuova - new. These cars were very much assembled in India, why the confusion about a regular 'dukkar'? That badge is something locally crafted.
The body style is absolutely the same as any "dukkar" Fiat, the blue car abroad who's pic is uploaded is a 1100 TV which had small protrusions for the taillights and a larger rear windscreen.
Pavan, the 1100 was not offered with factory airconditioning, looking forward to those pics.
Finally i was right in recognising that one.what says GTA.
And yes those tail lights are "original"
I have seen the similar looking car in Bangy and it has the Nouvelle 1100 badge,
I feel its a good buy as the car looks untampered.
Searching my world for the pics would put it up very soon.

I wasnt talking about the Taillights. I was talking about the Headlights.
GTA,
i was talking about the tail lights and for your info i stand by the headlights also.
The original has big round and really curvy lens.
We reqiure a side view of the car to prove it.
Anyways ... a nice car JayD.
