Jay Leno's garage - A 1959 Fiat Millecento!

Im a big fan of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, an icon in his own right. Jay is also a tremendous 'car guy', with one of the best collections in the world, numbering hundereds. He is also a judge most years at Pebble Beach.

Every week at Jay Leno's Garage a car of the week is featured. This week I was very pleasantly surprised to see a 1959 Fiat Millecento featured, and an absolute virgin car at that - standing in the first owners living room from 62 till recently! This has to be the best preserved Fiat yet, and it gives you equivalent milage to a Prius.

Enjoy.

Jay Leno's Garage

PS Since this car has such a strong Indian connection I cant help but put it in this section.

What a marvelous car. Priceless to say the least. Hmmm... some guys can afford Priceless treasures too.

Wonder if Fiat Italy, themselves would have a piece in such a pristine condition?

What. A . Car.. ! What a car, guys. Reminds me of dad's '59 select. You know, she was original to the last bit. (sniff !)
I'm desperately looking for pictures of her.

Big Dog Garage. He has a full staff that look after his cars and do mad mods to them. See his Jay's Garage website, its full of his crazy cars, though he sometime reviews new cars that he does not own. Also he does not have a single Ferrari!!!

Jay Leno has one of the most enviable garages.
Finding a super select in it is very encouraging indeed. anyone want to call him and induct him as a member of the FCCCI

It was MRW 5248. She was originally a 1959 Rajasthan reg, RJL 2000, brought to Bombay in around 61, when she became MRW 5248.

Do you know that Jay has this bike Y2K which is powered by a helicopter-jet engine? Its exhaust that hot that it can melt away the bumper of a car if it is stopped close to the back of the bike at a signal. (The bike's back license plate always has this warning with LED arrays to warn people at the back) Yes the bike is street legal.
