i had a big collection of old cars way back in 1985.But i did not own a fiat but seeing this car has put me to think why i did not own a fiat.[/b]
even in mumbai this old faithfull fiat will go of road in the next couple of years and than the real value of this car will come to to be realized.
i would like suggest you to start looking for the range starting from the elegent and make a collection which will be of great value for the future.keep it up.

Awesome

Reminds me of my 68 fiat. Bought it 2nd hand in 1992. It was like brand new. Had many many happy journeys in that car. Keep it up

As far as I know these were aluminium, if you are talking of window frames?? Also front and rear windshield beadings were also aluminium.

Please let me know is that window frames trim you want, I have seen on a car rotting away.

Hi there, and welcome to the forum ! Glad to know someone who's just bought a Fiat 1100, may you enjoy miles of classic motoring in your car. Please post some pictures for our reference and viewing pleasure.

As Arun rightly said, the Fiat club thread is the right place to post your query, where Fiat gurus of all vintages will contribute in any manner possible.

In my humble opinion, the Fiat Delight (1100 D) looks best in period colours - such as- Grey / cream / sky blue / white /or biscuit.
If you want to make your car stand out in a crowd, you can paint her two tone, that too suits delights very well. You could do a steel grey with a white roof. Or alternatively a deep red with a cream roof.
Lastly, for a stately Italianate look you could make her oxford blue or maybe Navy blue, with Tan upholstery. She'll look chaka chak !!

Don't forget to go about your resto / paintjob in a systematic manner, so you have as much originality as possible in the finished product.

Cheers, and all the best !!

Truely you have a gem with, please maintain it same way. It will be inspiration for other fiat owners to maintain their cars and other non-fiat owners to buy one and maintain it. So as we can prevent fiats been scraped in Kerala.

I was in Alleppey before there in a junk yard near by I have seen last ruins of many Fiats, but we are help less.

Kerala shore attract rust for Fiat easily and thats the main reason for Fiat going to junk yard in Kerala.

I do have a few lying around (used)

They are rather delicate so need to be removed carefully. Hence not many 2nd hand ones survive.
