@shyam -- Yes precisely, it was sure a huge relief for me.
@ gendarmee -- Yes it's my car still waiting for undiluted attention :Frustrati
@ Manish -- Sir, I know I can count on you at any time, With the progress on the car all these days has been like downloading a Giga Byte sized file on a dial up, I don't feel like taking snaps which remain more or less the same. Pics of the components taken from WBF to be uploaded shortly.

Hi Cyberdoctorind,

Any updates on how the car progressed? Is it out of the garage?

Am I missing something here? As in, have you already posted the details eslewhere? If yes, can you please point me to that link?

Waiting to hear for more on the WIP or completed stuff!

Cheers!

Guys Apologies for not posting the status of my Elegant's restoration process. As fate would have it, the car has passed through 'N' number of idiots (Read Denters) who were literally sitting on the car with no appreciable progress et all :Frustrati. Coaxing, cajoling, damki's etc for approx 5 odd months did not see ANY progress until I along with hillram took matters into our own hands and took the car away from these so called workmen and have given it to a lot last week who are decent enough to update me on the progress as well as religiously working on the car on a daily basis. The Progress on the car now is brisk with the body work expected to be completed by tommorow evening . I shall post some photographs when I carry my camera tommorow and shall make it a point to update this thread frequently.

I stopped carrying my camera for quite sometime as I always saw the car in the same state it was on my earlier visits.

Glad to hear about some progress on the car at last! BTW, do have the flooring treated for the rust if its the same as how when we last saw it (either wash with caustic soda or apply phosphoric acid, but Not both!) before you go with the paint.
Any hint on the colour or is still TBD? :)

And boss, I learnt this from my experience- you always should carry your camera along whenever you go out! If not your car, who knows what other interesting (automotive!) specimen you may come across somewhere? :D

I am able to sleep properly now as the progress is quite brisk. The guy who is working on my car is going through every nook and corner and patiently ironing out the issues one by one. I will get the floor treated as per your suggestions shyam Ji.

Anna lugging around a 2 odd Kg SLR is kind of painful, looks like the time has come to gift myself a smaller camera.

Color definitely would be blue, contemplating on the shade though. Inclined towards powder blue / surf blue at the moment.

What's the deal about interesting specimens (not only automotive ;-))

Yes, a smaller one is always recommended, best for taking quick/random snaps without drawing too much attention!

Powder would be good. My fav. colour incidentally.

Please dude, at the risk of hijacking your own thread, let's stick to only the ones on wheels- no shifting gears here! :D

Update on my car.

Body work completed and the car getting ready for a second round of red oxide to iron out the final issues with respect to the body work. Work on the paint and the suspension job to start from tomm. Still could not take any pictures. Got my car a period cone type horn. clap:
