This would probably be a swingarm BSA B31 350 single - I would guess mid 50s.

Hey Iron
Make the owner an offer he can't refuse, cos it seems a nice bike.

'hope I'm not posting OT here, but I guess once fully restored, this is what the bike would look like.
BTW, this is yours truly just posing with a Swingarm I spotted outside a garage, more than 6 months ago. I was told it was just sold then to someone in Bombay, for 35k! Could they really be had for as less as that, in this condition too? I don't know the model year but AAX is a late 60s/early 70s series regn. But the engine casing on this bike looks slightly different to that of the bike posted by Iron. Also note the externally mounted meter on this one.

Hey Stanher, Nice bike, nice photo. I think thats a 250 cc single youre posing with. Somewhere on teambhp I recently read about someone owning one and restoring it. Thats why the engine casing looks different.
What do you know I found it http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/post-1...storation.html
And yep 35 K is cheap.

Iron, why do you feel the rear suspension has been changed?

I dont think this motorcycle's rear shox came with the height adjuster. Those shox look like from a modern bike. This is indeed a swingarm model B31.

Karl - This is a 1956 B31. Notice the rear cable brake and full width hubs. It is an original Swing Arm.

Stanher - The bike you have posted is a 250 cc.
