What a lovely looking Bug.

Neat and precise with all the fittings :)

Though that 1200 cc engine with A/C is something i am not able to digest. Is it wise ?

Some interior pics would do more justice to this thread.

What i like most is that eyelid for the headlights, out of the world. :)

Thx Sir. Technically if a 600cc Nano engine can have an A/c running why not a 1200cc bug. Remember these A/c's work on Rotary compressors and not the conventional compressors. These compressors do not have a huge impact on the engines during acceleration and decelerations they were particularly popular in Mid-West regions in US. Made by Tecumseh they were OEM's in bugs fitted with A/C's and yes Bugs did come with factory fitted A/c's way back even in late 60's too. I have done extensive regression testing with the A/c on and only after that gave my baby for the paint work. There is abolutely no difference in pickup or speed compared to when it did not have an A/c. Did not really bother to check the mileage post A/c. Touch wood so far so good...

Good going and great results, I guess your W123 is also in for an overhaul.

Great Looking bug i must say. As suggested by others, please do post some pictures of interiors.

wonderful car, and the wonderful job, done precisely, no doubt we all expected the same from an experienced beetle man.waiting for the interior pics and appreciate your innovation for fitting an ac,

Lovely bug, nicely done and i love the wheel covers, they look very different from the rest.

One question, the side mirrors that you've got is the same mirrors i bought in Singapore, however I am finding it difficult to fix since they didnt come with any other nuts, do you have a closer picture of the full mirror assembly?

Look at the attached pix is what I have

Regards,

Srisha

You have to seperately buy an adaptor bolt that fits into the door hinge. I bought mine from Wolfsburg West I think. The bolts are common for Left and Right.

Will try and send you the pics of my mirrors with the bolt adapters. Karl has pretty much summarised what is missing in your case. You will also need a copper ring to attach which attaches to the adopters. Will check if I have spare ones with me as I think I have 2 pair of mirrors and can give you adapters from those just in case if I have not already given it to someone. Actually if you take it to a turner it can be made too...there is nothing too difficult about them all they will need is to get the threads right..not a big job.

No issues. Sending you few pics of the same. Hope they will be useful. As I mentioned it is not too difficult and an expert turner can do the job. All he needs to do is to get the right threadings on your hinge pin so that the adaptors will turn into it.

Few pics of my bug which entered in the Bombay VCCCI rally on 30th Jan 2011. Also sending couple of ones of the dash board too.

Dear Siddharth, I just couldnt stop staring at your car from the rear view of my Ponton mirror, the more I saw your car the more i wanted to get into the Beetle club. I loved the mini Beetle that you had plonked on your carrier for effect. Just too cool! Keep it up regards Amol

Many thanks Amol and Ronnie for your kind words of encouragement it are things such as these which keep enthusiasts like us forge ahead and to be coming from folks like you and Ronnie who are great in their own rights when it comes to "maintaining ship shape cars" is a previledge in itself. clap::thumbs up
