My 1967 Bug..
(
https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/post-war/84105-my-1967-bug.html)
Thought of posting some pictures of my freshly painted 67 Bug which was out of the booth only yesterday. Couple of minor jobs still remaining viz; Steering wheel painting, fitting of the side mirrors, venetian blinds, wipers, rubber inserts etc which will be done post the final polish. Have painted it the original L282 code of Dupont "Lotus white". Do feel free to write in your feedbacks, as mentioned there still is 3-4 days of working pending on it which hopefully will be done this week :) Posting pics of my first drive today morning after the paint job. Worked perfectly fine and took it for a spin of about 50 kms in wee hours of morning. Sending some pics clicked !!

Wow, this is very cool Sid, looking great.:thumbs up Is that an alternator fitted?
A humble suggestion - lose the pinstripe border to the number plates, it isn't period:) Happy bugging.
wow.. awesome pics and your bug looks awesome. Please do post some interior pics as well once you are done with the set of jobs for the interiors.

Thanks Karl. Appreciate your expert feedback. Will make sure I lose the pinstripe. No that is my Original Tecumseh A/c Rotory compressor - imported from US. This was a standard compressor used in A/c fitted US bugs. Must say it cools really well !!
Great car..I have never seen rear wheel covers like how the Citroen has? Is this an original fitment?
Do doubt she is beautiful, very well kept clap:.
Somehow i didnt like the rear wheel arch covers, was it part of the restore to original or an extra add.
BTW where is the VW logos?

The wheel spats are part of the original accessories and came in many european / US models made by Foxpro. There are two VW logos one on the bonnet and the the other on the engine lid with VW 1200 written on it. Is there any other logo you are referring to? The 67 model never came with with a wolfsburg crest logo.

Is that Foxpro or Foxcraft? The original early ones were made by Foxcraft, I had them replicated on my car (couldn't afford the real thing). I will be removing them though as they haven't turned out as well as I'd hoped.
Congrats Sid! I love your very unique Bug and the OH REE G NAL paint shade.
Your passion and enthu is evident with the restoration results.
You deserve a million of clap::thumbs up these here.
Wow Sid, your bug's looking super ! I've often admired this baby at rallies and in pictures. Want to see him in the flesh sometime :thumbs up.
Isn't this the same one which had some stuff mounted on the roof at the 2008 VCCCI rally ? May be a stupid question..

You are so right my friend. She is indeed the same one which had a Desert cooler once upon a time and now I have her upgraded to a nice cool OREE -GEE - NAL A/c so even wifey is happy to sit in her and not sweat. Sending a pic of the 2008 rally with the desert cooler !

Thx Ronnie. Trying to get into your large footsteps and would be happy if I am able to replicate even 10% of your perfection :D

great looking original car Sidharth,
Did you mean the gravel(stone guards) on the bottom end of the wheel arches?
They are originally made of anodised aluminium and calleb ""Steinschlagecken fur"" in german
What a lovely looking Bug.
Neat and precise with all the fittings :)
Though that 1200 cc engine with A/C is something i am not able to digest. Is it wise ?
Some interior pics would do more justice to this thread.
What i like most is that eyelid for the headlights, out of the world. :)
