1914 RADCO 211 cc / 2.5 HP Restoration

Got very lucky on this occassion - while enroute to the family's house at Mainpuri (UP) decided to use the back roads instead of NH2 , stopped at Fatehgarh ( a town in the middle of nowhere - with no decent train or road connections ) for lunch , asked around and within the hour purchased a nearly complete 1914 RADCO.

Fatehgarh houses 2 regimental centres for the Indian Army - one for The Rajput Regiment and the second for the Sikh Light Infantry

For the registration enthusiasts , the bike does not have a registration number , instead it is fitted with a small tag from the city administration .

Restoration on the bike just commenced .

How long back did you pick her up.

Nice to find such an early machine, early machines are rare. She will come out well. BTW, what is the engine number?
Can you post a picture of the registration tag?

Congratulations on a really cool find, looking forward to see the restoration process. It pays to stray off the beaten path you never know what you will find.

Hello KarthikeyaL,

Regretably I have very little time in India over the past year and though the work is 75% complete - I have not been able to get the RADCO roadworthy as yet.

Will update status next time I am in Lucknow.
