Hi friends just to update you all the work on chevy is going well.. Mechanicals all done.. car running well just completed a 50 kms trial run in afternoon around 35 degree and temp did not go over 90. runs smooth.

Need help with selection and procurement of the hood material. I dont want to use the Thar jeep type material commonly available.

Please advise.

HI,
The Car seems to have come out real well and it deserves the best. I suggest that since hood also a long term useage part of the car, you go in for a more suitable material. Bill Hirsch is a fairly popular supplier and has a wide range of colors to go with the paint and seats colors you finalize. Mebbe a lil more home work on the net will lead to similiar suppliers. Getting them across is not difficult with couriers handling customs formalities too.

Beautiful! my Family had a 1932 Chevy Coupe which had only covered 14,000 miles by 1972 . It was sold to dealer who had spun a lie about cherishing it blah blah . he had found a buyer and stole it off my late father for $2500 .Today the car is in Australia in the hands of a collector who offered it to us for a grossly inflated price. As much as we would like to have to had it back,the price was beyond the pale.
A phaeton is a very rare style ,ours was a Confederate Sports coupe one of Six 1932 Chevy's built in New Zealand .
