Renovation of 1933 Chevrolet Master 6

Hello ,

The car is in a reasonabe shape for an interesting and not too difficult restoration job , it looks to be complete with regards to the vital parts . The pictures posted by you indicate it is a 1933 Chevrolet Master Eagle 6 in a tourer body . There were 2 Chevy models in 1933 the Standard Mercury 6 with a wheel base of 107 inches and the Master Eagle 6 with a wheel base of 110 inches. Can you confirm if the car has 5.25 X 18 size tyres ? The Engine is a 6 cylinder in line with valves in the head which should be easier to repair than if the valves were in the block. The spares for the engine - head gasket etc are still sourced quite easily once you get out on the street and visit some old automobile spares shop.

But do not expect much help from vintage owners with respect to spares as there are prized commodities and everybody saves for the rainy day. For a 1933 Chevy you should not have to fabricate any spares - well - maybe the trimmings .

Suggest change the electric circuit and components from 6V to 12V.

So go ahead and commence the job .
