Thanks for the lovely pic Ritayan. Great car. Im sure you meant the Buick-8 and not the Buick V-8 coz the pic you have posted is of a Buick straight 8. The Buick V-8 was introduced only in the early fifties, i think 52-53 if im not mistaken but the earlier ones like you uncle's is definately a straight eight.

I dont have full details of the cars, with my limited knoledge from left to roght thear the go:-

Pontiac 1952
Auburn 1926/27
Ford T 1914
Rolls Royce 1936 (I think)
MG
SS 1931
Buick 8 cyl 1931
Fiat

All the cars have been salvaged from ruins (found in Bihar mostly, the fiat i was there to salvage it was half burried in the field) except the Rolls which was bought from the Sarogis in Kolkata.

ritayan and Karl the larger pictures are really marvellous. But the smaller pictures mar the exotic beauty of the car.Can you post larger pictures please? The Jaguar 15 hp (1500cc)of the late 1940's is rare and there are maybe four to five of them in India, surviving now. I had photo featured one for Autocar India, with an article, just a couple of years back. I don't have digital images of that car. Its floor is made of wood and so is the dash.The tool box on the inner side of the rear boot-lid of this a treat to watch.

I remember the article well. This was the car right?

Oh! Karl you remember it - The owner was under the impression that its the only one of its kind in India. Now at least four or five examples are known. Maybe you too are aware.It is a Jaguar SS80X (1.5 litre) if I am not wrong. This Jaguar also sports a SU carburettor. The repaint job at present is not upto the mark.
