I think these Dodges/Plymouths/DeSotos came only in LHD form even when sold new locally in India.

Only the 1954 Dodge/Plymouth/Desoto Convertibles were LHD as these were imported. The sedans were RHD as they were assembled/manufactured here

Correct, that is what I meant to say, forgot to specify cabrios.

Were RHDs sold in any other markets?

Superb pictures Prem. I wonder what car is behind. A Bentley?

That is what it looks like. Though there is a cross bar with badge - Buick ? This was a picture taken "with pride" from an earlier posting.

The R-R looks like a Hooper PI ?

I believe so....the R-R one for sure.

Here is Wasif's original post

The picture appears to be touched up. The windscreens of both cars seem too highlighted, esp that of the one in the back. The bumper looks like a double blade? Popular with American cars? I don't think Bentleys would have that.

Here is an excerpt regarding a new photo exhibition at the Salarjung Museum. Has anyone seen this ?

Excellent - can't say I can identify the car though. Possibly a Chrysler?

And I'm not sure if both the pictures are of the same car - the number plate above the taillight is missing in the second picture.

The one in the first picture looks like a 1933 Cadillac.

Thanks for these nostalgic pictures. The two cars below must be the same Cadillac.

The car in the second picture could be a Ford B ?
