GPA in Chennai??
(
https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/pre-war/67385-gpa-chennai.html)
I have been hearing a lot of stories recently about Ford GPA's in India. Someone I spoke to the other day said that he know there is a person in Chennai who has a GPA :Shockked: Now that will be a very pretty sight :)
Can some Chennaite confirm the same?
P.S – Any info on other GPA’s in India.
None that I know/heard of.
Dussey/ex670c can confirm.
Could be a different part of TamilNadu.
There is a similar vehicle up north, with a dealer. 'needs restoration, but has an exorbitant demand.

Any chance you can get more info on the vechile or the asking rate ??
One was with a Dhaba owner in Pune.It was pictured and written about in one of the Indian Car mags way back.
Chap uses it to haul his veggies from the market to the resturant.
One in Hyderabad with Rashid Nawab. His collection has around six to seven GPW /MB + this GPA and a very interesting Austin Champ Jeep.
Thanks Wasif,
It's time I went to Hyderabad. That place is loaded with different kind of Jeeps.

Would you be kind enough to share some pictures along with "How you got it" story.
Think I saw a picture of this in Jeep thrills but need to see some more close up pictures. If you want to email them to me please let me know and I will sent you my email ID. I can post them for you here.
Thanks

Would love to see some pictures of that :)
This is the (in)famous Lucknow GPA. The asking price around 2 years back was 25L.

Hi! Can you share the stories you have heard? :)
As far as I remember, there were two Amphibian Jeeps in Bangalore and one in Indore with a Dhaba or restaurant near a highway. This was maybe 15 to 20 years ago, maybe someone remembers.
And I had seen one many years ago in Gondal.
Cheers harit

Thanks for posting pictures. 25L in that condition
I know GPA's are not that common but I am not sure if there will be a collector who will be ready to shed 25L on this. Looks like it needs some work. Any idea if its mechanically intact.
Do you have anymore picture?

Yes, even I have heard stories for a GPA in a Dhaba. According to Mr.UBS there were lots of GPA bought to India. He did mentioned the location of some of the remaining GPA's in India.
