That's a Sunbeam 12/30. I'm almost certain it is. I'll check. The reason I'm not 100% sure is that there's only this one left in the world as far as I know. Any more photos, he begged. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeese

Confirmed. A 12/30. Essentially a Darracq with a Sunbeam badge. Best estimate is that they only made 30 and this is certainly the only known example in the world. Just fabulous. The UK club have known of its existence but have never seen a photo.

I'm being very careful with the information and photos you are providing, it's not being widely circulated without the owner's permission.

Thanks to all.... Can you find any more?

Also as Harit has mentioned please do upload the "black landaulet". It must be an interesting car.

I doubt if it's gone up in financial value much. Sunbeams rarely fetch big prices. It's gone up in interesting and historical value though. Good to see it being looked after.

That may hold true in your part of the world but in India its gonna be a given that the price has tripled if not more...basically the sky is the limit out there in India.

Thanks for that. That's a bit young for me though, I'm really only interested in the pre-war Sunbeams. Happily quite a few cars like the one in that thread have survived. I see them regularly at rallies in the UK.

1935 Sunbeam Twenty

Here are some details about one of our long term projects. These are reproduced from the newsletter of Sunbeam Talbot Darracq (STD) Register in UK.

Re: Vintage Sunbeams in India

I just realized that in India we are fortunate to have 1934-35 Sunbeam Twenty Five, in 3 desirable bodies styles

Cabriolet - Ex-Kolhapur

Landaulette

Limousine - Ex Travancore

Re: Vintage Sunbeams in India

This 1927 Sunbeam has been in long term ownership. Originally owned by an Englishman, followed by a Col. of Indian origin in the British Army.

The current owner bought this car in the early eighties. The car is running well and does regular small drives.

This 1963 Sunbeam Alpine, Series 3, has had a complete makeover under the able hands of the Shrivardhan Kanoria.
