Firstly a thing of beauty your bike is, Is that a seat cover that you have put on the saddle? Yes indeed I was looking for the complete whitewalls as the ones on your bike. Where did you manage to source them?

This is not a custom built

The make is Frankby (British), Bears a regn number and the Pedal Rubber also says Frankby as mentioned on the chasey of the trike

The handlebar grips are Original made of Rose wood

I will try to put up the chaey number incase if it helps, this is possibly late 30's trike

Hi all,

Here are some pics of my BSA parabike, passing through our family, Grandads cycle used by my dad and me during my school years, folded and kept away till 4 days ago!

Looks pretty rusted but on close observation is only surface rust! hope to get her all cleaned up, chromed, and painted in the original army OG green.
The main sprocket was changed during my school days since the tooth were slipping, Therefore i would be highly obliged if anyone knew of a spare original BSA sprocket just to get her back to her originality.

Presenting a Fold able Bi-cycle >>>
WARNING:
Members & guests please ignore those " HERO JET" stickers, concentrate the machine ... as this is not a "Hero Cycles" product ... it is some thing else!!!

Let me explain to best of my knowledge:
This Foldable Bike (here after will be called FB in this post).
To my limited knowledge about Indian made bicycles, 'am pretty sure only TI Cycles, introduced a foldable bike @ mid '80s (Chinese product re-badged as BSA, I suppose).

Now about our FB posted in this post:
This has a 20" wheels like most of the common FB s (do not take English paratrooper in to account!!)
This bike has a main RECTANGULAR section down tube & it is abBrazed frame, just observe the pics & pour your comments in here .


The above FB in Normal riding set up ^^^^

Note the rear Brake set up. It's not drum brake or disc, some thing like our locomotive brake! (will post pics, when I open the rear portion of the bike).



Note the rectangular section down tube of the frame & the foldable section with quick strap lock set up.


Now winged bolt of the lock released to fold the bike.

Again reminding you friends ... just wipe off that "Hero Jet" sticker from your grey cells (just to bring down the details of this bike, if you have seen once before).


Though the bike was brought to my garage ... just eager to know history of this bike (for sure this is not Chinese , not Indian).
Bicycle gurus can shed some light about this FB.

PS: as the FB is repainted, no traces of any stock decals, only thing noted was - both the hubs have a sign saying "SPEED KING".

This is definately a 70's Folding bike probably Auto Mini as it has a distinctive Box frame, I need to do more research on this bike over the weekend. I have already shortlisted 5 suspects, need to study some more things.

Are the rims SS?
Any other marks on the brake calipers etc?

Can someone give some info on this friend's cycle? I heard it was used by army men.
