Re: can anyone identify if this is an Austin Ruby?

Guys, I am stuck in my restoration of the Ruby! Can someone help me with (a) what was the size of the headlights (diameter at lense rim)? I have two sets of different diameters (b) anyone have meters? (c) I am planning to paint it off-white / cream with wine red upholstery... any thoughts, any pictures to guide me?

Re: can anyone identify if this is an Austin Ruby?

My friend in the UK Austin 7 club said the following:
"It looks like an Austin Light 12 Tourer, around 1932/3. I think they were still making the Heavy 12 at that time as well. In fact the Heavy 12 went on almost up to the war in its commercial forms.

Hope that helps, Nick.

Re: can anyone identify if this is an Austin Ruby?

My experienced friend in the UK Cambridge Austin 7 Club said the following:
It looks like an Australian (Holden?) bodied Ruby open Road Tourer to me. It definitely is not a Big Seven.
Hope that helps, Nick
